My job takes me all the over the world, but this was the first time I was visiting South Africa, so spent a bit more time researching where to stay instead of relying only on my Assistant to book a hotel, and must say that did the right thing by staying at The Four Seasons for my 3 days trip earlier in the week. Absolute gorgeous property. Hotel is more prepared for holiday-travellers rather than business travellers, but that gave the hotel a nice and relaxing atmosphere which I really enjoyed. Staff is very friendly and attentive, room is great, spacious, clean, very well equipped, in my case with a nice balcony and a great view. Very comfortable bed, so very good sleep. In terms of food didn't have time to try the restaurant but tried the room service and was good and delivered in the promised time. Worth noting that hotel is on a hill and given the architecture there are golf-carts which take you from the main reception to your room. Very smart and good working system. Just one comment for management to consider: South Africa (or at least Johannesburg) has a structural energy supply problem and there is constant rationalisation of supply in the city. In short, no energy, so many companies and families rely on their own generators. It happened to me during my stay that suddenly all goes dark, and then the light comes back after a few seconds. Issue was that at least in my room light was coming back only on half of the room and the part were there was no energy was the one where is the tv and all the power sockets to charge the phone, laptop etc. So, this happened during the night, and when I woke up the following day all my devices didn't charge during the night, what wasn't great. I had to call reception, an engineer came did something on a panel and energy was back. Maybe they should know on which rooms this happens to anticipate and restore the energy before guest calls. Independently of the above, the stay was absolutely fantastic, on a great and clearly very well managed property. Can recommend and will definitely be back in a few months, on my next trip to Johannesburg

one of the best accommodation experiences I have had in a while, from the hotel itself to the food and the excellent staff members who served us so well. Beautiful place really. I loved the room, it catered very well for me as we were on a holiday trip. Everything we needed was available.

normally you can see changes during different stays at hotels. Things changes mainly for bad as staff becomes self satisfied. This is not the case with the Four Seasons in Joburg. I cannot tell that something became different. I had the same excellent experience during all my visits. I hope it will stay this way with my future visits.
