Well positioned close to amenities, the rooms are clean with nice fresh linen. There a lovely pool for a dip on a hot summers day. Breakfast offering is good, however, the supply of fired eggs and toast was a problem when it got busy.

Lovely place to stay over however the service in the evening was not that great as I got the idea that the lady responsible for the evening shift had to be all over and needed to be called each time we wanted to have a drink at the bar facility. Drinks was very limited and had to change order due to not having certain beverage.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing as I expected more variety especially for my Indian collogue who does not eat pork there was no other alternatives. In general say was good, thanks.

My husband and I wanted a peaceful start to 2024 so we decided on a getaway by the lake. We spent 2 days at Lake view Boutique where our needs were met by the amazing staff and our expectations were exceeded by the peaceful surroundings. I unfortunately had to work during this time and the cozy little office space in our room along with a perfect wifi connection made it easy.
A tip: There is a breath taking lake right across from the Boutique so go prepared with your braai gear lol.

We had great help from a lovely lady, Boni, confirming our booking and maintaining touch with us prior to our arrival. Unfortunately the stay did not go as well as we wished.
Whilst still en-route we were informed that about 40 children had been booked in to the Boutique Hotel and so there may be some noise experienced in the afternoon. However, that evening over 40 young adults arrived. I guess their ages to be more mid 20’s than children. The noise that evening was bearable but when they started to stand outside our bedrooms at 0430 onwards in the morning and talk loudly it was far too much. I asked them to have consideration for others but they then started singing as well - 0500 in the morning. Ridiculous! We later found out these were all new staff in training for Department of Home Affairs!!!
The dinner was actually very nice buffet except that no desert was delivered as we had been informed would happen. Bedrooms were very comfortable and beds nice. Another issue was that when showering that night there was only 1 towel in our room for 2 people. The night manager apologised saying that all the towels had been used and were in the laundry but she could give us one the next morning. Didn’t help when my wife was already in the shower.
But who in their right mind books over 40 young trainees into a so-called BOUTIQUE Hotel and then has no consideration for other paying guests? Totally unacceptable.
Instead of staying the 2 nights as we had booked we left immediately after 0800 and didn’t even stay for breakfast.
My recommendation to anybody looking to stay at Lakeside Boutique Hotel is STAY AWAY. You will never see us or any friends and family ever again. The only rose in the whole establishment is Boni, who went out of her way to accommodate us and make our stay pleasant. Congratulations Boni, as I told you when booking out– you are the star of the show.

Nobody wears masks! The room is cleaned by people who don't use masks. That is actually illegal currently. And when u need the gate opened you have to wait a very long time until somebody is available to open it. If not u have to jump out ur car go to reception and ask them to open the gate and u get told "stomach problems, it happens" by a girl who says she "doesnt work there" but knows her way well around how to open the gate. Such pathetic customer service. Very rude. DO NOT RECOMEND.

I had called in a day earlier to organise a earlier check in so that I could shower and clean up before my day of business. They rented my room out and gave me a smaller room (I wanted the bigger bed) - aircon didn't work, room wasn't clean and I was given no towels. Parking is an major issue as well!

We booked a upstairs bedroom, on our arrival we had no choice to take the last room on the ground floor. The mini fridge was off only 1 bottle of water and it was dirty. This goes to show that they had not prepared for us at all. The bathroom smelt as if there was a sewage leak, very stufy poor ventilation. We had to park outside, not enough parking.

It is a great hotel. However, maintenance is lacking. Heater was not working on the second night. I was moved to next room. Thanks to the staff. Toilet was leaking all day in this room. It seems to me that maintenance is not on top of these important details.

Great place for short stays. Lovely location in safe area. Friendly, helpful staff.
Nice breakfast, however, more options would have been great.
Parking is a bit tight at the property.
Overall good experience.
