The guesthouse is awesome especially from the entrance and to the rooms. It’s close to the two malls (Mimosa and waterfront). If you don’t have a car an Uber is easier to access so is public transport! It’s clean and wasn’t charged to use the ironing board and iron. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is very spacious. The shower can accommodate two people without feeling like one is in each other’s spaces. As much as the view on the outside is nice, my room didn’t really have a nice view. But overall I loved my stay and I would definitely recommend staying there!

Villa Bali is quite conveniently located for travel around Bloemfontein. They have large and secure parking.
The checkin process was very smooth - I hadn't been able to complete the online checkin forms (as we were traveling), but they had hard copies awaiting us.
The person at the checkin desk was extremely helpful. While their restaurant did not serve dinner, he very kindly offered that we could use the restaurant premises and their cutlery if we ordered in (Mr D & Uber Eats both work)
We had requested ground floor rooms and they did give us 2 rooms as close together as possible.
The rooms aren't excessively large, but they are very efficiently designed. I loved the amount of lighting in both the bedroom and the bathroom (we tend to read in bed before we sleep and poor lighting is a pet peeve). Lots of conveniently located plug points for charging. A proper tea / coffee station for late night or early morning tea. Good strong wifi connection. I was able to make an urgent video call too. Very comfortable beds and clean linen.
Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection of hot and cold foods. We only stayed one night, so I'm not sure if it gets repetitive after awhile, but we had scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese grillers, American style pancakes, baked beans, chicken nuggets and hash browns. There were also cereals, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses and fruit salad. A small selection of breads and spreads that was quite satisfactory.
Villa Bali is in a good location, we loved the cleanliness and efficiency around the design and service. We would be happy to stay here again.

Wonderful hotel. Friendly service and staff. Beds are very comfortable. The absolute best breakfast I have ever had. Great variety and the freshest croissants, quiche and flapjacks made every morning.
Have more than enough spacious parking. Shower has great water pressure and adjustable shower head. Plenty of shampoo, soap, tissues etc provided in the bathroom.
The only downside is that they dont have a lift for heavy luggage. I would also prefer an extra towel as they only provide one big and one small towel for a single person. An extra big one will be nice. During load shedding they have a backup but it only works on the lights and wifi, plug points dont work unfortunately so cannot charge phones or use hairdryer or watch TV.

We had a most amazing stay. The rooms were comfortable and equipped with electric blankets and AC, which came in handy as it was very cold when we visited. The staff were absolutely amazing and very professional at all tomes! The breakfasts were out if this world!!! The location was perfect as its close to the mall and also various restaurants. I can highly recommend this establishment for business or pleasure!

I had a wonderful stay, definitely not bad at all. My only suggestion would be to wash the pillow covers on the decorative pillows. That said, any concerns I had about the scent of one pillow were completely forgotten once I experienced the incredible breakfast. It was absolutely out of this world! Special thanks to Bannie, Ashley, and the entire kitchen team for treating me so well.

Everything was amazing during our stay. Thoughtful and friendly staff that made sure that we needed for nothing. Quality of beds, aircon, electric blankets, crisp linen, lovely breakfast, location, blankets placed on windscreens at night for protection against cold weather, and security were all very good. I will definitely return, no doubt about that.

I booked via booking.com for accommodation at a guesthouse in Bloemfontein. Booking.com debited R580.00 from my credit card. After 15 minutes the manager of the guesthouse called me and informed me that she could not understand how booking.com could accept the booking as they were fully booked and booking.com was advised of the fact. I sent 3 mails to booking.com requesting a refund without any reply. When I then threatened with the consumer council, I recieved a reply. Thereafter i am bombarded on a daily basis by booking.com to provide feedback on my stay, rate their service, and continue to recieve this spam notwithstanding the fact that I have attempted to unsubscribe. any institution so useless should be avoided.

Not my first stay at Villa Bali Boutique Hotel. I returned because I enjoyed my first stay. Check in was efficient even though I arrived early, my room was ready. The design of the hotel gave me outside access to my room so I could limit contact with others. Parking is secure, and I noticed the parking lot was filled with other travelers returning from holiday with all their gear. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Room was very nicely arranged, super clean, well appointed and comfortable.
Disliked · We stayed in Room 9. The road outside was super noisy and loud. The wooden step adjacent to this room was very disturbing with guests arriving back at 2 and 3 in the morning hours. Both Friday and Saturday's fellow guests were very loud and disturbing. They made a huge racket when arriving back at Villa Bali, constantly fiddling on our door, loud music in their rooms, running in the passages etc. I know there is little that the establishment can do about this I suppose, but because of this I will never stay at this place again. Staff was super creative with their blankets for our vehicle's front window i the freezing cold, well done for that. This is a very nice and comfortable establishment, but because of the noise I will not recommend this at all.

We stayed at Villa Bali on Saturday, 25 January 2025. I left my new iPhone charger in the room. When we phoned them Sunday evening, they immediately acknowledged that my charger was stored safely at Reception, and we proceeded to arrange for collection. There was no "sorry, nothing was found...or we will check and get back to you" response. They immediately knew who I was and what I left in the room. We will definitely stay at Villa Bali again.
