The recently Refurbished Garden Court Mthatha is situated in the heart of the former Transkei. Mthatha is a bustling city that embodies an eclectic mix of old world South Africa and the new. It is a growing business centre where many companies choose to hold conferences and events. The Garden Court Mthatha is hospitable, offering friendly service that is common to the area. Situated on the National Higway the N2, It offers access to the Mthatha Metropolitan Museum, Walter Sisulu University and the Nelson Mandela Museum situated just 30 km south in Qunu the resting place of Madiba himself. A further 30 km south is the birth place of Madiba, Mvezo, where members of the Mandela family still live and serve on the traditional council here. Mthatha is also, by geographic location, the perfect stop over for visitors to Coffee Bay(Hole in the Wall), Port St Johns, Sani Pass, the scenic Barkley Pass and East London. It also marks the begining of the famous and sought after Garden Route.

This is my home away from home great clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. My room phone was not working though. Nice ralxing area for casual meetings. Well taken care of pool area. I am still to see the gym on my next visit. Overall service I appreciate everytime🙏

Approx 40 in our group stayed 4 nights. Very clean, staff super friendly, beds and linen top quality, great pool. Food at buffets delicious. Piko great barman and beers ice cold - BUT limited stock and ran out of certain brands 2 nights in a row!!!

The room was too far, but it was beautiful and the water was hot. The AC was loud and the room was cold. I enjoyed their breakfast buffet. A beautiful place to sleep. I would go back again the staff was friendly.

The receptionist was very rude and arrogant. We reported to the manager who wrote the email to the receptionist manager. Didn’t contact us upon receiving the email. When we spoke to her in the morning she was not interested. I will not recommend to anyone

Hi all. Me and my family would like to say thankyou soo much to the Mthatha Garden Court staff. They made our weekend stay so pleasant and effortless. Your smiles truly go a long way,just so you know. I have a very big family and had booked 3 family rooms, but all that running after my kids was made easy by your staff. Please talk to that lady that serves breakfast...She was so unpleasant to us ,the kids and other guests were also complaining about her attitude. I would also like to commend your Security Services from Starlight Security, as they were soo helpful in helping us with our trailer,even when it was pouring, they did it with a smile. All in all,keep up the good work at Mthatha Garden Court, we see you!!!!!

To me everything in Garden court is perfect. The rooms are great with comfortable beds, showers always clean with their towels. The food is good, I would just applaud to you guys to keep up the good work. Staff members are very welcoming and their service improves each and every day. Even when you call them, they always assist as much as they can so to Garden Court is always the best hotel that I even recommend to my friends and colleagues.

My family and I recently went to breakfast at Garden Court Mthatha, where I have not been since their recent upgrade. The renovation has been worth the wait, the food was stunning, with variety for everyone, I was very impressed that they actually catered for vegetarian in my family by having 10 plus items for them to choose from. Due to inclement weather on that day we could not sit outside in the wonderfully maintained garden, or sit by the pool, on our next visit maybe the weather gods will be nice to us. All in all, we had a wonderful time.

Please keep up the good service and quality, every time I stay at a garden court I really wish I could stay longer. Next time I am around Mthatha I am definitely staying at the garden court. The dinner killed it for me

The rooms are a comfortable size. The bed and linen was to my expectations. I loved the bathroom. I also loved that there is a fridge in the room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only thing I did not like is that they do not offer the discount to reward members when ordering room service.
