We absolutely loved our recent stay. We booked the stargazing cube and were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. All of the staff were incredible and we enjoyed our meals both in the restaurant and with the amazing picnic basket we ordered for dinner. This is a truly special place for a unique experience.

We brought our international guests here for a quad bike tour. They were super thrilled with their experience and really enjoyed the activity. We will be back for more Tsitsikamma fun along the garden route.

Wonderful location. The cube, dome, pyramid rooms are very nice for 1-2 nights, if you get a clear sky, very secluded among greenery with sea view (not sure how they will age though). Great pity that the restaurant is only basic (the site really deserves better as alternative options are quite far away).

Had the most amazing time here. Staff could not have been more helpful friendly and happy. The whole experience was fabulous. Loved quad biking and trekking to the waterfall although don’t be fooled by how demanding this is and make sure you are prepared. A great place to stay if visiting the area

Loved staying at the Pyramid...an experience unlike any other. Was absolutely stunning, loved the net and the hot tub. Braai basket was amazing. Breakfast was amazing. Only negative was that Netflix and the Wifi weren't working. Staff were friendly so helpful.

We spend one night on this amazing hotel, everything was more than expected starting by the staff , they are so kind lovely letting you feel home , food is so so so delicious, room is specious and comfortable with a super view over the ocean. You can enjoy the monkeys around the lodge they are cute. We were lucky watching the final of the rugby in SA and the atmosphere was extremely nice. Many thanks for making our stay memorable, hopefully we will be back.

What we loved: 1. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to make sure that we had a lovely stay. There was also a surprise fruity cocktail for everyone to welcome us to the property. 2. The view of the ocean is amazing and the property is beautiful. 3. The bed was very comfy and there was a very nice and big standing heater inside our room which helped to ward off the chill. 4. I loved the extra touch of placing beautiful leaves as decoration on the towels on the bed and in the bathroom and the chocolates left on the bed was a nice extra touch! 5. The spa bath in our room was heavenly and my spouse was in heaven when he used it. I especially loved the fact that a bottle of bubble bath (foam bath) was added to the other toiletries so that one can have a very relaxing bubble bath together with the jet streams in the spa bath. The view from the spa bath towards the back of the property was also amazing! 6. Breakfast was delicious. 7. Great care was taken to make our stay wonderful and we wish that we had time to stay longer than only one night, since it was a pit stop during our tour of the Garden Route. What could be improved upon: 1. The property couldn't properly cater for our special dietary requirements which were specified in advance and no lactose-free yoghurt was provided at breakfast as requested, for example. We specified that we would've paid extra for this special request and we were assured that our requirements would be met, so breakfast for one of the other guests who travelled with us was disappointing. 2. The property should advertise that they are very isolated and that you should bring your own snacks and drinks along, as you are dependent on ordering food and drinks from the limited menu for lunch and dinner which is available on the property. The menu is sufficient for people who are not fussy eaters, but it does not cater properly for people with special dietary requirements due to health reasons. 3. It is difficult to find the entrance to the property from the N2 highway, since there is no sign for the property. The road towards the property is also very confusing since there are not sufficient signs to indicate where you should go. Tip: 1. When booking on Booking.com, make absolutely sure of the type of accommodation that you are booking. Don't complain that your room was awful if you did not study your type of accommodation on the website beforehand!

Our reservation was made through booking.com. The professional shots of the venue shows wooden lodges, advertised the room that we had booked with a sea view and swimming pool facilities. Unfortunately when we booked the accommodation we had not realised that the 'Deluxe Queen Room' we had reserved was in fact a tent with a double bed. A tin roof & tin shower formed part of the facilities. To add to our horror the room was absolutely freezing. A small and inadequate portable fan heater was provided in an attempt to heat up the tent. 2 hot water bottles were provided. When we arrived it was a very cold night & we were reassured by the staff at dinner to not to worry as an electric blanket had been provided in the room. It was only when we got into bed that we realised that a single sized electric blanket had been provided to cover one half of the bed. Very disappointing. We tried to make the best of a very bad situation. However, we were both woken up very early each morning by monkeys running on the Tin roof of our tent and cows mooing in a nearby field. The food was average. The brown water that supplied the shower and sink to the tent derived from a borehole. The water came out brown and had a strong odour to it. Despite paying an additional fee for a sea view the tent we were provided only had the view of a field. There is a small pond on the grounds of the venue that provides a warning sign that this is occupied by a crocodile. The staff were pleasant enough. Unfortunately, where the venue was of a very poor standard there is only so much they can do. There was no pool located in the hotel despite being featured in the professional photos. There was however a muddy water feature on the corner of the field. It was not pleasant to look at and did not serve any practical purpose.

Room Tip: Avoid this accommodation & definitely do not book a tent! Be prepared to bring wipes and dry...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property and I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your time spent with us. Please note that when you make a booking on bookings.com it shows the photos of the room that you have chosen, and you will be able to see that you have booked a tented lodge. I am sorry for the problem you experienced with the electric blanket - I will pass this onto our Management Team. We do make use of borehole water, but we have recently upgraded our water system so this problem has been sorted out. As previously mentioned, when booking a room online it does show you the information about the rooms and the tented lodges do not have an ocean view. Since we are a nature reserve, we do have our animal friends such ask the monkeys visiting us. Unfortunately, we had to redo our pool due our old pool being damaged by the recent heavy rains that the area experienced and we have moved our pool to our lawn area - we are sorry that this inconvenienced, but we were once again hindered by the heavy rains. We are really sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with us, and we do not want any of our guests to leave feeling that their standards were not met. We really hope to welcome you back in the future. Warm Regards The Misty Team

I like to first say a big thank you Karis who help me to make it such a wonderful birthday celebration for my partner. We are both Vegan and she and her team made sure that i could order the vegan basket and we had a delicious dinner... actually from dinner to luchh as the serving was a lot! All the staff were all extremely helpful. Booked the Room Balcony and Sea View and the view was to die for. Really nice and quiet. The drive into the lodge was fun and an adventure itself. There are many activities that you can book from the lodge so no problem in finding things to do or just chill and enjoy the nature.
