Sandriver Lodge, is centrally situated in the village of St Francis Bay. Walk 200m to the beach, 100m to the golf course, across to the shops and restaurants, tennis and squash courts. We have a garden 'cafe' where delicious breakfasts are served, and dinners on request.Newly renovated with a tiled roof, we have gone back to the "beginning" of St Francis Bay with the rustic feel of fisherman cottages. Copper pipes are exposed against bagged white walls, with sea shells in the plaster, sand coloured tiled floors and the relaxed feel of St Francis Bay. Sandriver Lodge offers uniquely styled and set up accommodation to suit many different needs. Accommodation for one, a family, self catering or perhaps more cosy & private with breakfast in bed...We have what you need.

The facility is central and within walking distance of one of the nicest restaurants in town i.e. 22 Eatery. Ample parking available and the room I occupied was spacious and clean. Management communicated effectively regarding the check-in process which, due to my late arrival, posed challenges.

Such a cosy place to stay, central and in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. Wonderful breakfast with freshly baked bread was the cherry on top! I can highly recommend them. Great hosts and facilities.

A fun place to stay. Room was big with a nautical theme. Friendly town. Host was helpful and off street parking was appreciated. Breakfast voucher provided for interesting nearby cafe was generous. St Francis Bay has many good things to offer.

We were staying only for one night since we were driving through Garden Route, we really enjoyed the Lodge with spacious room, beautiful garden and delicious breakfast prepared by the Host, Anneke and her husband. They made every detail in the Lodge with love, also the self-made welcome cookies in our room! We will definitely be back and stay longer next time.

Loved our stay so much that we hope to re-visit soon. Was our first visit to St Francis & couldn't pick a better place to stay. Clean fresh room and friendly reception. Walking distance to lovely shops and places to eat.

Another very enjoyable stay at Sandriver Lodge. It is centrally situated. Our room had everything we needed and was spacious and very clean. Anneke's home-made bread at breakfast is not to be missed. I'm sure we'll be back.

Sandriver lodge is ideally located within walking distance to the beach and to shops, you couldn't ask for a more convenient location. The cottage are clean with fresh linen. They are serviced daily which was an added bonus.

The Sandriver lodge is an authentic family run bead and breakfast. Staying there made a huge contribution to us having enjoyed a satisfying family holiday in St Francis. The location turned out to be perfect for us. It's a very short walk to the beach, but also, a short walk to the shops (wonderfully easy when the rest of St Francis is sitting in peak holiday traffic to get to the shops). The accommodation is true to the beach holiday experience of St Francis; very clean, comfortable and everything just works. We were also happy to share our garden with two owls! After having experienced Anneke's breakfast on the first morning, we came back for more every day. Anneke delighted us. Nothing was a problem. Every morning, a home made freshly baked bread was on the table, while Marc was on hand with the coffee and a chat. While our 5 year old boy was being entertained in her kitchen (or playing Lego with her son) Anneke's options impressed my gluten and dairy intolerant mother-in-law and my vegan wife and younger teenage daughter, while my older teenage daughter and I enjoyed her deliciously satisfying bacon and cheese omelettes. Staying with Marc and Anneke means that you are very quickly in the know about what to do in St Francis, when, where, and in which weather. This meant that we were able to make the most of our limited time, a massive value proposition that was not obvious to us when we explored accommodation options. Marc and Anneke also went out of their way in other ways, offering body boards and a life jacket for our son (Marc's sea rescue experience means he takes water safety, rightly, very seriously). We felt sad to leave (Marc does not allow you to say goodbye) and we look forward to going back as soon as we can. Writing this review is the least we can do in return for the authentic hospitality we received. We all highly recommend the Sandriver Lodge if you want to enjoy a satisfying St Francis holiday.
