We stayed at the SUN1 Port Elizabeth hotel for 1 night. I shared the room with my husband and our toddler. It was comfortable enough for the three of us. I would definitely not recommend sharing this room with people who you aren't comfortable undressing in front of. Definitely only should be shared by relatives or close friends because everything is open plan. Shower is see through. Toilet is tiny and you wouldn't be able to change in there. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Good location. Great views of beach. Close to restaurants. Recommended for short stays only.

its a very good budget room with a small TV and WiFi very clean and accessible and is also safe. Only the loud noise buzzing at night like a mechanical equipment. definitely good not for a long stay due to small rooms . I like that the aircon was working well HOT or COLD choices

Extremely hot inside. The aircon is useless. Ive been here afew times over the years , just because of the low price.

The service is good , and you get free coffee. The place is also clean.

There is no elevator so you have to carry your heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs when the bottom rooms are booked.

Ample hot water ,excellent water pressure.

Toilet is too small , my partner couldnt even close the door when he used the loo.

Bed is hard and the tv has only SABC. The wifi makes up for it.

Positives : free wifi , good water pressure ,hygeinic , free coffee , very affordable

Negatives : cramped , extremely hot , hard mattress , no elevator ,no security gated parking.

Booked at very last minute. The location is really good, the staff were pretty nice. Good wifi connection. Rooms a bit small, additional bed for kids not necessary.. Very convenient and good value for money

My husband and I needed some alone time. Staying the night at the hotel provided a relaxing, quiet time for us. We had half a view of the ocean as some tall trees blocked the other half but it didn't bother us as all we wanted was some peace and quiet, away from the kids😊 We will definitely book at Sun1 PE again!

Clean and affordable but had to endure regular, loud, horn like mechanical equipment the whole stay, (evening, NIGHT, and morning), every 10 minutes. Night staff was unwilling, but probably unable to offer anything but acknowledgment. Wouldn't stay again unless dead tired and out to the world.

For the first time in my life I have had my valuables stolen from my hotel room. Not only that the staff seemed to be nonchalant about it claiming that the Cctv footage is unavailable. They further promised to investigate and follow up with me but have not done so. My 6 day stay was characterized by unprofessional behaviour. Twice I came back to my room with no soap and sometimes an i cleaned room despite instructions to do so. According Humewood police valuables go missing all the time from this hotel and they don't even have safes in the rooms. If you have other alternatives, stay away from SUN1 Port Elizabeth, if you must stay there do not leave any valuables in the room.

No complaints thank you! The hotel is situated in a great place near all the restaurants and entertainment and we enjoyed it very much. We will be back in about three months time for two weeks.
I think safer parking will be a better idea because the car-watch guys was extremely irritating and persistent!!

The hotel has a very nice price and location: next to the beach, restaurants and small shops and about 2km to The Boardwalk complex.

The negative point I can say is the poor bathroom, even if compared with others formule 1 hotels tha I had stayed. The bed linen and towels are old and stained. Very bad.

The staff is helpful.

I´ll not return.

Hi, do you have an airport shuttle service or taxi service and what would that cost?
Answer from SUN1-HOTELS
Johannesburg, South Africa
Dear Susan, Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, we do not have a shuttle service. The hotel is approximately 5km from the airport and you should be able to catch a Taxi/Uber from the airport easily. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Sun1 Hotels Management
