I can not fault them on the cleanliness or the friendly reception & restaurant staff but no WiFi in the bedroom (“yes, we have a problem with the internet”) & a tv remote that does not work - not good enough.
Breakfast basic but all in all good value for money.

I had a comfortable stay at the guest house. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Convenient plug points, fridge and microwave in the room which is great!
The guesthouse was recommended by the NMU University so it was disappointing to find that there was no desk and chair to work from.
Otherwise, I will definitely o back with my family!
The house is a walk away from the beach, restaurants and shops which was marvelous!

This small private hotel was a good experience, principally because of the excellent manager Elise who went to great lengths to accommodate all sorts of complex needs. Close to the university, shops, restaurants, and the beach. When I return it is my accommodation of choice.

The bedrooms are a good size, were clean and well prepared. It was a bit of a struggle to plug in the kettle and de-activate the somewhat outdated radio-clock, do we still need these? The lights from the driveway prevent one from darkening the room for sleep (ours anyway). Not sure if winter sheets are needed in October. The parking is my major gripe, municipal rules dictate parking requirements for example, in most cities, guest houses are required to have parking (eg: 5 bays for 6 rooms) and the 'end-to-end parking arrangement where guests have to park behind (and block) one another is extremely inconvenient. We were also asked to settle our account before breakfast; during breakfast and after breakfast, three times during a space of 30 minutes. We weren't rushing anywhere and the owner made us feel uncomfortable.
