Detailed Reviews
We spend four days between the 29th and 02Jan 2020 the staff was great. Check in was quick less than 3min and the we stayed on the 11th floor. Rooms honestly were small but clean ,no fridge, small TV and the pool was very disappointing way too small for such a hotel. Kitchen staff was excellent but the Hotel doesn't provide dinner and that makes dinning out way too expensive. In house restaurant is expensive. Overall the staff was great. The eleventh floor had awesome views of the beach and surrounding areas and the kids love the beach even though it was full of broken glasses.

The view is lovely but once inside the hotel, there’s a lot that could improve. The corridors definitely need a diffuser or spray to freshen the place up. The room furniture and bedding could be better— totally uninspiring at the moment. Wifi connection was not stable.

We went to this hotel with the Barmy Army to watch the cricket at a lovely cricket ground in Port Elizabeth. Unfortunately the hotel did not match my the cricket. The room had no fridge when we asked for one to keep medication in we were told there was none left. However we could keep them in a fridge behind reception which was not satisfactory. The bedroom had a sea view but we couldn’t see through the window because the were filthy. The breakfast was a hot buffet but apart from the eggs cooked fresh the food was cold everyday. The bar service in Mikes Bar was dreadful regularly ran out of beer. It was under staffed who had problems working the till. One night I had to wait 30 mins for a cocktail and had to wait so long to payI walked away from the bar. I had every intention of paying but refused to wait any longer. (I did pay eventually). We had a meal in Mikes Bar the service was much better and the food was good.

it was very good. with regards to cleanliness, I noticed that my room was clean though the refill on soaps and body wash was not yet enough. the day I came I had double soaps and double body was so that when I wash later, I have some to use, and the rest were for the following morning. on the following days I was only given 1 set, which for the morning only. I thought it was going to be standard and consistent (the supply of soap and body wash).

This is a nice hotel in a good location near the beach. There are a few restaurants close by and a 20 minute walk along the beachfront to the Boardwalk and casino.
The hotel only serves breakfast but has Mike's kitchen attached for other meals and drinks.
The breakfast although a little limited was more than sufficient, but the tables were a bit too close together.
The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Ours had a marvelous view to the left and right of the beach. Unfortunately the bathroom is a little dated with the shower over the bath.
Outside you'll find a few tables, chairs and sun loungers, and there's also a small pool which someone described as a puddle as it's only big enough to dip in to cool off.
Everywhere is clean and the staff are efficient and friendly.
I can recommend this as a good hotel to stay in.

Pleasant experience at Garden Court Kings Beach. Manager assisted with a refrigerator that was not in the room on check-in, appreciated. The chef (Simpiwe) was outstanding in his service delivery, he prioritized my every request and always confirmed if all in order when passing by. He is an asset to this organization.

We stayed in the Garden Court hotel for 1 week. The website doesn’t indicate bedsizes in the family room. Now I understand why…. Management of the hotel never slept in these rooms with their family… Beds are too small to have a decent sleep. Our children are teenagers, these beds might work for children up to 7 years old. Hotel and breakfast is fine. Bar and beds need some attention.

A few issues with the room on our arrival but after a phone call to reception a maintenance man appeared quite quickly and solved all the issues. Not sure why they were not sorted before your arrival especially not having any cold water!
Hotel is in a good location for beach and local restaurants.
Hotel very busy due to the cricket but staff coped very well and the organisation for breakfast when everyone descended at the same time was exceptional, well done to all those staff.
Don't expect much from "the pool" as it is not a swimming pool as only about 3 metre square to dip in and out of.
