Internet not working in the room. Breakfeast area very cold. Outside no shade to have breakfeast there. Very noisy street. No room service, not even a sandwich, everything comes from restaurants near by. You freeze to death if you have a meeting, even on a rainy day outside, if it is hot outside, aircon is even colder. Hard to come home healthy. Missed most of my conference because of a bad cold.
This hotel situated on Marine Drive is a neat and clean hotel. The breakfast is great , rooms are clean, beds a bit small. The only gripe I have with this hotel is attitude of the reception, I asked twice for a sea facing room on check-in and two days later and was told no rooms available. The hotel was half full on these days, not helpful at all. No caring attitude at reception. Reception one star all other departments four star.
Didn't feel like driving back to JBay after the Annual Easter Cape Wine Show, and opted in, for a night at the Town Lodge. Was very impressed, and didn't need anything more for one night in PE. WOW what a breakfast. Loved the layout and really enjoyed the food. The view is to dy for. Will be back........... 2020
The windows in the rooms may not be the largest but they gave me the sea/promenade view I really wanted and I could hear the sea when there werent too many cars. The pool deck and outside (breakfast) tables had a fabulous view - as did the lifts. Aside from the view which isn't everyones priority - the lobby of the hotel was spotless, modern and had ample spots to sit and work or visit. With a small bar - and indeed a very nice breakfast that I opted for on one of the days. The rooms were small but comfortable and again spotless. And the beds/pillows super comfy. They do not really cater on site and do not have fridges in the rooms but there are restaurants that deliver and multiple restaurants very nearby. Parking is ample, and secure. And the location is excellent. Add to all the above the friendly, helpful and efficient staff across all the departments, including security, - and this is a winning combination.…
I am quite a regular guest at the Town Lodge and have praised them before. After a recent visit with a very big group, I cannot but do it again, because they deserve it. The hotel is quite new, has brilliant sea views and staff that has always been just friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast is lovely and you can still take a muffin on your way out to the day's work. I am proud of this hotel and what it represents in our Friendly City!
