Wow, situated right on the beach in Kini Bay with sea views from the rooms.

We enjoyed having some braais/bbq during our stay. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well equipped and we love all the DSTV channel selections available.

Breakfast was very nice, plentiful and well prepared.

Keep up the good work and service.

We will surely visit again.

We had the best romantic adventure ever at Sea Otters Lodge. We did not have transport but moved around with local taxi cab service. It's the windy city but we still enjoyed and the breakfast was splendid. All round excellent customer service. It's a B&B so keep that mind. Arrange for meals in time or visit the lo al restaurants or the nearby SPAR for lekka braai commodities. Definitely worth it!

Excellent service rendered in the friendliest and most accommodating manner. Well equipped beautifully appointed room. A more stunning view of the sea would be hard to find. Perfect location.....a few seconds walk to the sandy white beach and its lovely rock pools. The rows of beautiful trees attract much bird life which brings one so close to nature, which in turn creates a quiet and almost serene atmosphere. This is the perfect place to wind down, relax and enjoy!

Awesome indeed, Miriam in the kitchen in the morning is great! Silent, safe. Had a good times on the terrace in the evening with bottle of nice white wine and biltong. Appreciate that lodge is situated on the small beach, out of PE centre cca 25km.

We went for a one night stay on a Saturday evening just to get away and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the landscape set out in front of us.Rooms set up facing the sea you get to leave your door open all night and listen to to the waves crashing down. Staff are friendly , professional and helpful. Breakfast time your are treated like royalty with the owner taking time out to sit and talk with you making you feel welcome and special. Definitely a spot to try out for all families, couples and even singletons.

Sea Otter Lodge is situated in a beautiful location right next to a small beach, with a light breeze whispering through tall Yellow wood trees creating a peaceful atmosphere. Beds (King-size) and bathrooms (bath tub and separate shower) of the luxury rooms (4-5 star rates) is comfortable and clean. Fantastic fishing spots. On the negative side the Lodge was run by Miriam, a lady clearly with no official training, trying her best to keep everyone happy. Everywhere is signs of poor maintenance. There is an issue with ants, no refrigerator in the rooms – only a communal refrigerator shared per floor/level. Window of bathroom was not cleaned for months one can’t see through it. Not so nice breakfast was served on a bare table no table cloth or even place mats. After observing the state of hygiene in the kitchen we cancelled breakfast. With improved management this can become the jewel of the Eastern Cape.

We arrived on a Sunday and we were warmly met by Miriam and shown to our room.
The first floor rooms have their sea-views blocked by a row of fir trees which must have been planted as a wind-break. We took a bottle of wine down to the swing seat on the shore-line and enjoyed the setting sun.
On returning to our room we decided to shower only to find we had no hot water. Miriam to the rescue, we were offered the adjoining room. The co-owner came to the original room to prove there was hot water. Fact is, the cold tap is the hot tap and the shower tap is the wrong way round. This spoiled our evening totally as it was not done in a nice way, as clearly we were interrupting the co-owner's favourite TV programme.
Miriam retires at the end of this month...

Good day As noted Miriam (employee) has retired after 9 years of service and we wish her well with her retirement. The blue (cold) and red heat (warm) indicators are visible in the showers and hand basins. Regretfully with the installation process 14 years ago the builders swapped the heat indicators around and therefore the warm water for some showers is to the left and for some showers it is on the right.
