We were attending a wedding in PE. Not being familiar with accommodation in the area, we followed the wedding website and unfortunately ended up at accommodation where we didn't feel safe. An hour before the wedding we quickly booked with 39 on Church. They accepted us with open arms despite our last minute booking. Our room was clean and extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed. The guesthouse is located in such a peaceful area that we had the first lie-in that we've had in years! The peace and the block-out curtains both contributed to our blissful, lazy state. We were served a delicious breakfast that morning. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay for longer!

I really enjoyed the service received at 39 on Church. The cabin I slept in was seperate from the main house ensuring privacy. I felt very safe and had secure parking for my vehicle. I was welcomed warmly and checkout was very easy. I will definitely stay there again!

Best service all round. Excellent breakfast menu, excellent precautionary measures on place against COVID19. Management, Daphne, was warm, friendly and always available. Room was in excellent condition. Coffee, milk and sugar was replenished daily as well as my welcome cookie. Rooms are warm and cozy.

The staff are friendly. However the place needs a revamp, as everything seems to be falling apart. There are ancient carpets, a cheap and not well installed plastic shower floor, broken items and only South African three pin outlets. A remodel is highly recommended.

I would recommend the following to improve future stays:
* Checklist of all items within the accommodation facility
* Bigger Fridge
* Bigger stove
* More Cuttelry eg Spoons, knives, forks, plates pots, casual dishes , towels eg.

My wife and I arrived a bit late in the evening and was welcomed by the on-duty manager, Daphne. Her friendly and helpful manner was much appreciated with a nice orientation to the hotel/guest house. The next morning we enjoyed a full breakfast and Daphne helped up with information on the area before we set out. Convenient secure parking and a safe location made our stay very nice. We will return to 39 Church on a future trip.

Apon arrival I had a warm hearty welcome from Sarah and the team.
I would definitely recommend this place it's a home away from home and the team is very attentive.

This place is great! Paul is the best, looked after us so well! Made us feel so welcome the entire stay and even small things like a dropped drivers license, he drove across PE just to bring it to us. Facilities are great, shout out to the amazing ladies who looked after us at breakfast, amazing choice and the best food! Honestly, if you’re looking for a home stay in PE with hotel like facilities but a homely feel from the staff this is the one for you, wouldn’t go anywhere else if I was back in town.
