The place looks amazing and the breakfast was fantastic. Its close to a convenient store and was around the corner of the venue we were there for. I can't wait to book again for next year and even stay a little longer.

I love this guesthouse. The rooms are quaint and cozy., The staff is wonderful and the owner Floris.....is larger than life with his devoted dogs.
The rooms are all individually decorated but the cleaning staff require some prompting!!

The food was fantastic. The kitchen staff is awesome and they can cook too!!!
It is a simple guesthouse but they go over and above to provide the frills and its a home away from home.

The downside id you have to be in the lobby or in the building housing the lobby top get internet access. And if you don't like Dogs......I suggest you stay elsewhere!

You have to try it.

In dire need of an upgrade. We occupied 2 double rooms with a small lounge. The mop, broom and a selection of dirty cleaning material were stashed behind the sofa. Four light-bulps were blown. The extractor fan in the toilet/bathroom ( without a window or any other form of ventilation) is out of order. Only one towell to a double room were issued. Free parking as offered is not enough, some guests have to park on the pavement while the owners bakkie and van occupies the limited parking. The available seats at the "shared table" breakfast was not cleaned up and in chaos. We chose not to try the breakfast although we paid for it. Water dammage to ceilings and cornishes in the rooms are very visible. Paint is coming of all the "white" taps en both rooms. The lock to the door of the ons door is half jammed and needs to be forced to get it open. Electric cords from the plugs to the "old" tv and dressing table lay open and can and will be tripped over. The bedside "tables" are very not sturdy and is made out of raw pressedwood and covered with a table cloth. The stain covered sofa in the room is also "covered" by a cloth. A plastic ice-cream bucket is placed under the toilet to catch the water leaking out of the "dirty-water" pipe. These upstairs rooms has wooden floors and it really sqeaks loudly when you dare to move in the room. It might sound as if this is not all possible in a so called 4 star establishment. I have taken photo's just to remind myself never to be caught up in a place like this again. I am still surprised that "booking.com" reccommended us to this place. The staff at reception was very good and they tried the best. The owners we never saw or heard of.

I was referred to this guesthouse by a resident of Port Elizabeth.Being only my second time in PE I thought I would give it a go.
Arriving from the airport is quick. About 8min with Uber.
Receptionist was friendly and welcoming and took me to my room in a kind of annex flat let.My room was not ready but it was only 13.30 when I arrived. This seemed to be a staff meeting and ironing area with was very noisy .luckily I had meetings to go to. Side light Bulb was blown in room and they had to scramble to get a 2 prong plug.Room was shabbily decorated and very old with an ugly shabby carpet. The extra blanket was old and looked a bit suspect. The 2 pillows were flat and hard .Toilet systern had broken away from the wall but the shower pressure was great.Towels were new and soft.Tv was newish and good.Heater in room was effective and sheets where clean.Food was home style and really good but the bar was not stocked as the venue is a conference venue and apparently gets to hectic if the bar is opened and stocked. Was ok but not sure if I'll go back.

Wonderful stay in an executive room with a view of the harbor from the balcony. Only downfall was that there isn't sufficient space for all cars of guests to park off street. Cars are squashed into the parking area.
