Conifer Beach House, a lovely 4-Star guest house, in Humewood Port Elizabeth, is a hidden gem closely situated to some of Port Elizabeth's most stunning swimming beaches, major beachfront attractions, as well as the city's airport. The two 1927 houses are beautifully restored to accommodate fifteen stylish en -suite units, all with the same content but the more economical ones are a little smaller in size. Each room has a private entrance with a little patio overlooking the beautiful semi-tropical gardens, and has access to a communal outdoor pool. Every unit at Conifer Beach House is fitted with a flat screen TV with DSTV, free Wi-Fi, Ceiling fans, hairdryers, heaters, tea and coffee facilities, crockery, fridges,small microwave and some of the bigger rooms have air conditioners. Free toiletries are provided in the bathrooms. Secure parking is taken care of by the ample parking space on the premises. Enjoy healthy, delicious, tailor made breakfasts, including vegetarian, vegan and typical African options in the dining area or on the tree filled patios .A short walk brings you to beautiful beaches, Surfing,Snorkelling, the Brookes Hill restaurants and Boardwalk Casino Entertainment Complex. The South End Museum, Health Clubs and the Nelson Mandela University are all close by in less than a ten minute drive. The managing staff are all very keen to assist with tour options and advice on the best possible activities to make your Eastern Cape visit an unforgettable part of your journey

We had a great stay. The staff at the Guess House all so incredibly friendly and helpful. It felt like a home away from home. We loved our room and the amenities; the Guest House is well located near the beach and close to shops and restaurants.

We stayed for just one night before our tour left from the beachside. It was a good location for us and the facilities provided were good value for money. There was a storm so we didn’t get to enjoy the terrace but it was a lovely garden

Very quaint property with modern rooms, helpful staff, and convenient location. Nice patio to relax on with a cup of coffee. The breakfast was incredibly fresh and delicious. Definitely will stay here again next time I pass through PE.

The Staffel was so friendly! They tried to organize a guide for us for that sunday we had there because we had no car on that day and they told us much about the city and Southafrica. Everything there was perfect!

What a wonderful find! Juanita and her team are so wonderful and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully furnished and immaculate, the breakfast is excellent, and even after a work trip, I feel so refreshed. Definitely my go-to for next time I'm in PE. (And 1 minute's walk from the beach!)

This is my second time to stay here. The room was fully equipped (w/ coffee, milk, microwave, refrigerator). The shower water flow is good too. They provide the basic shampoo/body soap and lotion. The bed and pillows are very comfortable too. There’s a 2-hour load shedding at night but the wifi still works. They also provided an emergency lamp. I had a very good breakfast in a very beautiful dining area with a view of huge ficus trees. The breakfast is tailored made, just like a breakfast cooked at home. The egg benedict is so good! However, the breakfast during weekend starts at 8am so you can’t have it if you have an early tour or flight. The lounge/common areas are so beautiful and relaxing. Fantastic Location, Great Host, really friendly staff, Great Breakfast options over the 4 days with different options made to your liking delivered to your room if preferred, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I would recommend Conifer Beach House for ANY visit to Port Elizabeth, whether a holiday or for business, short or long stays. Exceptional experience and definitely deserving of a full star rating!

Absolutely disgusted with the service of Conifer Beach House. We booked two nights in December 2022 for an event. We booked via Discovery Travel including breakfast and dinner. When we got there the lady had the nerve to say that what Discovery paid through nightsbridge is less than their rates and it certainly does not include Breakfast or Dinner. Because we booked on Discovery Travel we received a discounted rate but the lady refused us what we paid for. Took it up with Discovery Travel and they were unable to assist and said we must take it up with Conifer Beach House.
