The Conifer is a nice, tidy, and well-designed guest house with good access to restaurants, bars, and beaches. The access to our room was very easy only to short steps which makes it easy for elderly people or pregnant women. The room was fully occupied with everything from a very comfortable bed, hairdryer, microwave, TV, refrigerator, dushes, etc. If you are looking for a comfortable place which worth money, go for it.

Lovely setup, was just strange that the room I booked online was different to the room we were given to check into and when asked why we were told that it was checked out already but at 9pm the previous night to the booking it was available online. Was also told that their online pricing was incorrect and that the room could not be given out at that rate - perhaps why the room change came into play - what I see online is what I book and expect to get. Incorrect rates advertised is not my problem but the owner of the establishment. The bed and pillows were comfortable. New towels are definitely needed as the condition is pathetic for a 4* Guest House. There was a bug under one of the beds. Impressed with meeting Covid regulations and fogging of room and sanitising of remotes. Bathroom was decent with good amenities. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff.

We recently stayed one night at Conifer Beach house in a family room. The room had a well equipped kitchenette, plenty of clothes storage, small dining table and a very comfortable king size bed. It still comfortably accommodated the single bed and travel cot that were supplied for our toddlers. The common areas around the property were beautiful, planted with lovely flowers and bushes, a small pool with loungers, a braai and plenty of outdoor seating at which to relax or eat. There was parking available. The breakfast served in the dining room was delicious and there was great choice for hot breakfast options as well as fruits, yoghurts, cereals & juices provided buffet style. The service was friendly and prompt. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in PE.

Compact, comfortable, secure, friendly, attractive, great breakfast, perfect hosts ... a place to definitely recommend.
The guest house is situated close to the seafront and beach in the Humewood area, and a short walk to Summerstrand area. Local small grocery stores close to hand and the Beershack 5mins up the road, to be recommended.

I really enjoyed the one night I stayed at Conifer Beach House and would definitely stay there again when in Port Elizabeth. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the guesthouse is very close to the Port Elizabeth boardwalk and restaurants, I felt safe at all times and the garden and outside area was amazing for relaxing and just reading a book. I traveled for work purposes and the room had all I needed for this, but I would recommend this place to people travelling for fun and adventure, or who just want a break from the city as well.

This is my second time to stay here. The room was fully equipped (w/ coffee, milk, microwave, refrigerator). The shower water flow is good too. They provide the basic shampoo/body soap and lotion. The bed and pillows are very comfortable too. There’s a 2-hour load shedding at night but the wifi still works. They also provided an emergency lamp. I had a very good breakfast in a very beautiful dining area with a view of huge ficus trees. The breakfast is tailored made, just like a breakfast cooked at home. The egg benedict is so good! However, the breakfast during weekend starts at 8am so you can’t have it if you have an early tour or flight. The lounge/common areas are so beautiful and relaxing. There’s also a swimming pool and braai. It’s too near to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants.

Absolutely disgusted with the service of Conifer Beach House. We booked two nights in December 2022 for an event. We booked via Discovery Travel including breakfast and dinner. When we got there the lady had the nerve to say that what Discovery paid through nightsbridge is less than their rates and it certainly does not include Breakfast or Dinner. Because we booked on Discovery Travel we received a discounted rate but the lady refused us what we paid for. Took it up with Discovery Travel and they were unable to assist and said we must take it up with Conifer Beach House.

Port Elizabeth and Conifer was our first stop in South Africa. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The atmosphere and the garden areas are so pleasant.
In addition, The hospitality was above our expectations. We all arrived late at night, tired and hungry. It was too late for dinner in the guesthouse, so the manager made sure to order everything we wanted and delivered the food to the hotel. She made sure to answer any question, concern or request we had.
