Lush coastal forest and grassland is home to vast herds of African game, including White Rhino, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala, Bontebok and many more species. All the animals roam freely, unrestricted in natural surroundings. This owner operated animal friendly park, where no hunting or other disturbance of the game is permitted, means that you always get close up views and great photo opportunities. Take a drive in your own vehicle through the park on the well-maintained roads and enjoy viewing the game in any weather conditions from the comfort of your car. For those really close encounters, choose the 2 hour guided tour in an open Landrover with a professional guide providing you with interesting information on the animals and the historical background to the area. Accommodation is offered in luxury thatch lodges and chalets as well as log cabins.

We stayed at the Nyala Cabin - a cute & cozy cabin that had everything we needed. Our first night at the game park was extremely cold as frost settled in. The cabin was provided with an oscillating heater fan though - which we only thought to use in the early hours of the morning. We just didn't like our double bed - the mattress was uncomfortable to sleep in. A minor inconvenience compared to the over-all great experience we had. We saw the rhinos and the lions and all other animals in the park and it was well worth it.

The reserve was close to Port Elizabeth, we found it to be the perfect getaway - animals were easy to find. It is a small reserve, with plenty to see. Best rhino viewing we have had. Giraffe and zebra visited the chalets.

The game park is small compared to other ones but you get a close-up experience of meeting a family of rhinos 🦏 and a herd of giraffes 🦒 as well es finding yourself directly among a big herd of water buffaloes. The guide was very experienced and knew the stories of the different animals which made it extra special- on top of being the only visitors to the park on a Monday morning.
