Great views - lovely facilities. Very clean and well kept. You can camp right at the waters edge and swim from there. The management were excellent and extremely helpful. We were looked after really well. Thanks
We have come to Keurbooms every year in December for at least three weeks for the past four years. We enjoy it immensely every year and we have always come back. The sites are big and the grass is well kept, we braai almost every night and sometimes go out to restaurants that are nice and close. The shop is clean and welcoming and the bathrooms are always kept neat and clean. 10/10
It has been a couple of years since my last visit and I was very impressed with the condition of the park. Neat, Clean, great ablutions, well kept campsites. A big thumbs up to the park owners and staff.
We spent 10 nights camping at Keurbooms Lagoon Caravan Park in Dec 2018. What a rip off. This place is extremely expensive and locks you into a minimum stay of 14 nights at R900 per night. Very little facilities- a small play park and a lagoon for swimming is all it offers. That is if you like swimming in a lagoon littered with hundreds of boats (watch out for the propellers!) Arrogant boat owners don’t care about the swimmers at all. We drove out to the beaches almost every day ☹️. Ablutions cleaned regularly but the poor cleaning staff constantly had to clean up after little camper brats messing up the facilities. Fellow campers not very friendly as well. Our sites had absolutely no shade which added to our discomfort. Located very near to shops and beaches. Will definitely not return. …
Had such an amazing experience here. The only downside was the weekend visitors. We had unsupervised children flooding ablutions etc.. But the fishing was amazing and the park is very wind protected. Would definitely go back there, but not at a busy time.
Love this place. Kids play. Great fishing spots for kids. Swim in the lagoon. Great restaurants to visit. Excellent way to relax for short weekend away from home. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Close to supermarket. Braai facilities at own camp. Layback and peaceful.
The bathrooms are super clean, their terrain child friendly and the lagoon makes it a lot of extra fun! The SU group keeps the children busy and it's more like a community than a camp site. Just 5km out of town it's close to main beach and many other and there are an abundance of activities to keep you busy for a three week holiday. If you want the hustle and bustle of the town, it is littered with restaurants and things to do. If you want a family holiday, you can keep to yourself most of the time. There is a supermarket close by and remember to visit the hippy camps. Some of the best holidays of my life!
We visited Keurbooms Lagoon caravan park over the Easter weekend and having many years of camping/caravanning experience was pleasantly surprised at the amenities and facilities that were available to intrepid campers. We were travelling in a Motorhome so a level site is a bonus. Sites are located under trees, along the lagoon, in the open etc. The ablutions were spotless and conveniently situated to the entire campsite of some 250 sites. It was truly a great relaxing weekend.
This is simply the best Caravan Park - certainly in the Cape. Awesome owners, stunning lagoon, safe for your children, friendly campers, fantastic ablutions and beautifully maintained. This is our home away from home every December - our teenage children will simply not go anywhere else!! Plenty to do, but frankly relaxing on the lagoon and chilling up the river is simply perfect!!
We wanted to explore the Southern Cape (Garden Route) for the first time in our lives. I was looking for a venue that was central, but that also offered safe camping facilities without breaking the bank. I did quite a bit of research and Keurbooms came out tops. Boy, am I glad I chose this camp site. Not only was it central, everything we needed was at our doorsteps. We had an electric point and water at the tent. The site was grassed and shaded. I loved the braai that could be placed where I wanted it. And looking at the rate the camp site filled up, it is very famous. We will definitely be back. Although I rate the "hotel" I am rating the camping site and facilities.
