The most enviable location on the Garden Route. We spent 2 nights here on our Garden route trip. The location is stunning, right on the beach with great sea views. The room was lovely & had its own large balcony/ patio area which was a great sun trap. As we are on our honeymoon, we were welcomed with a lovely surprise of a bottle of champagne & Lindt chocolates, a great way to start our visit. We missed breakfast the first morning due to an early start visiting the elephant sanctuary (a must if you get time) the hotel provided us with breakfast packs - water, cereal bars, fruit, sandwich. Breakfast the second day was delicious & service very friendly. The reception staff were great too. On our first night recommended a great local restaurant & booked our table & taxi for us. Again, excellent service. The restaurant was

You can't get closer to the beach if this is what you're after. The gate from the carpark opens directly onto the pristine, white sandy beach. The distance to town was about a 15 minute walk up hill to the main street, though there isn't much to do in Plett itself. The hotel itself has a nice old style feel about it. Staff are friendly. The room was spacious, bathroom a little dated. A jar of biscuits was provided in the room with the tea and coffee machine which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. A small buffet and hot options were served.

This place was great! Cozy room, clean with all amenities needed (refrigerator, air con). The breakfast at the attached lemongrass restaurant was so delicious. I want the avocado toast with smoked salmon again so bad. They do a lovely job maintaining the surrounding garden with local plants and flowers. And we got a nice surprise when we left in the morning - they had washed our car.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on our garden route tour. Great location on the beach. Room 12 had a great balcony and very comfortable. I loved the bed but my husband did not find it comfortable. As others have said a nuisance that the internet did not work in the room. As we had sick relatives at home we needed to be in touch. Also a shame that the on site restaurant had shut down.

Dear Irene P, Thank you for sharing your experience with us and others. Unfortunately as room 12 is the furthest away from the wi-fi hotspot it may sometimes be lacking service when traffic is high. Luckily the comfortable lounge that serves as wi-fi hotspot is available from which you can connect to your loved ones. We hope to welcome you back to Milkwood Manor in the near future. Regards, Milkwood Manor on Sea
