Spent 3 nights here and loved it. Beautiful location, comfy rooms with great view of the beach and lagoon. Friendly staff and car washed every day. Beach towels and chairs provided and kayaks available. Couldn’t buy a snorkel anywhere locally so maybe have a couple for use of guests and a fishing rod or 2. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This guest house has a superb location right on the beach. The room was fine and the staff helpful but the breakfast was disappointing. The fruit was in short supply and the choice of mains restricted - always eggs so for those non egg eaters it would not be clever.

We chose Milkwood for its location and we were not disappointed, it is literally ON the beach. Rooms were comfy and airy with great views and the breakfasts were good. Staff were great and Beverly kindly booked us restaurants for each night we were there (which were all excellent) and arranged a taxi to take us there and back. It's great to be able to walk out the door and down the beach or lie on the comfortable sun deck with the lagoon waters lapping underneath. Plettenberg itself is an interesting little town with a good range of shops and things to do. One thing to be aware of is that, because it's on the beach pretty much everything is a steep climb away unless you drive or take taxis.

The hotel is nice, the breakfast was good. Rooms were clean. We were really able to rest in our air conditioned rooms. The only thing that really bothered us was that tv had only 13 channels (i missed the match i wanted to see) and the wifi was terrible. Supposedly the wifi was not working because of outages but at no time the room wifi worked. As a Chilean couple on holidays we really need to use wifi for doing stuff online. The living room wifi worked fine in the morning and i was able to do some stuff there but fixing the wifi for all the rooms is not that hard. Keep improving guys, you have a nice spot that needs some little upgrades.

On arrival into Plettenburg bay we spotted the Milkwood manor from Whale point, in one if the most stunning locations i have seen. Looking almost marooned between the ocean & lagoon its yellow castle like exterior stands out. So to find a room was available at short notice was a great surprise. The hotel is stunning obviously lovingly restored. There is a electric gated parking area outside the front entrance. The Room was spacious comfy with power shower in a modern ensuite. Staff were friendly & attentive. Breakfast was fantastic both cooked & continental offered, served on the terrace overlooking the lagoon. One of the best hotels I have stayed in & definitely the most stunning location. Will be the first stop on our return.
