Beautiful home with private entrances to the rooms. Room was small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Robin and Dee, the propietors, invited us for a drink in the evening and although Robin is a bit chatty, he did share his extensive knowlege about the area and made a good recommendation for dinner. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and Robin recommended we stop at a new animal park that had just opened - Teniqua. Had he not mentioned it we would have missed out on seeing a very special place indeed. Cornerway House is well located in Plett and we would definately stay there again if we were in the area.
Having never travelled to South Africa before I was not sure what to expect. However I was pleasantly surprised when I turned up at Cornerway House. Its location was very easy to find and the welcome was warm. Breakfast every morning was more than enough to get me started for the day and I appreciated having the (very friendly) owner around to talk to about the surrounding attractions in Plett. Overall it was fantastic value for money and just the right balance of privacy and hospitality. Thanks to Robin (and Dee) for a wonderful stay.
I have stayed at Cornerway House on a number of occasions and each time it has been wonderful. Dee and Robin are brilliant hosts and the B&B is always warm and homely and Dee and Robin are an endless source of useful information of what to see and do and where to go in the area.
We came across Cornerway House through a friend's recommendation and within 2 minutes of meeting our hosts, Robin & Dee, we knew we had might the perfect choice. The house itself and our particular room was stunning and had all the facilities and luxuries one expects from a good accommodation provider and on top of all that it has a wonderful personal homely touch namely electric blankets and a very friendly welcome to our 2 labradors. The house is ideally situated - 5 or 6 minutes walk to the best beach in Plett and no more than a 4 minute drive to the centre of Plett. The house stands in wonderfully manicured grounds which are tendered by Robin on a daily basis and the pool area and stoep are also very inviting especially for breakfast or G & T's in the afternoons. Overall…
This is a small property within 5 minutes of the centre of Plett. It has a small pool, the rooms are nicely decorated and for breakfast you could have anything you liked. The hosts Robin and Dee make the difference. They were so welcoming and this is very much a stay in their home rather than in a guest house. And Robin gave us excellent trips for our onward journey to Klein Karoo!
