Detailed Reviews
We enjoyed our stay here, we rented the self catering unit which came with a washing machine and bbq.
Great hosts and lovely environment, especially the gardens they were gorgeous and and pool was a nice size. The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk away and you can drive into town 5 minutes away.
The only negative was they were the only place that charged us for a baby high chair that was old and dirty out of the 7 places we rented in South Africa.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in our self catering unit. Our gardeners work hard, it is very rewarding to receive compliments. Apologies about the chair, which we hired as our high chair is not a free standing one. Trust the rest of your holiday in sunny South Africa was fun! I

Situated in a residential area about 2 km from the main town where there are a number of good restaurants. If you don’t fancy the walk it is a short taxi ride but there are also a couple of restaurants within a 10/15 minute walk. Robberg beach is also a 10 minute stroll.
The guesthouse is set in lovely, well-kept grounds with lots of birds which we loved watching and has a very relaxed ambience with plenty of nice sitting areas to relax. All the staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble and we were helped tremendously with organising a hire car. Rooms were small but very comfortable and clean with a fridge, tea, coffee and biscuits provided in the rooms as well as a TV. WIFI was also good and we were grateful for the mosquito plug in provided.
Breakfast has a varied choice of cold and freshly made hot meal with lots of choice, sat out on the lovely terrace overlooking the pool. It was valentines day when we visited and all guests were given a gift of chocolate hearts which was nice touch. Pool towels were provided but more sun-loungers would have enabled us to sit out a little bit more as we are sun worshippers and the three beds were often being used. Other than that a comfortable relaxed stay many thanks.

We stayed here for a few days as part of our trip to Capetown and the Garden Route. It is a delightful place and a little oasis after all the travelling. The owners, Dee and Tobes are very welcoming as is the manager Kathy and all the staff. The rooms and very comfortable and every need is anticipated from the beach towels to the home made biscuits (rusks) on our tea tray. The garden and communal sitting areas are wonderful and a lovely place to sit and chill with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. As well as a fridge in our room we could use the kitchen facilities in the main house if we needed to. Kathy and Dee gave us lots of ideas and tips of what to do and where to go in Plett and made us feel like welcome friends not just hotel guests. Breakfast is a very relaxed and enjoyable affair, freshly made at your request with delicious and plentiful food. Couldn’t recommend this place more, a little gem.

Very enjoyable stay at this comfortable bed & breakfast. The room was kept to a high standard everyday by the staff and the bathroom facilities were excellent (i.e particularly the shower and constant hot water). Tea & coffee facilities available in room (used) together with rusks (yummy). Breakfast was delicious and cooked freshly to order by very friendly staff, they went out of their way to cook me porridge every day. Cathy the host was absolutely delightful, she was professional, helpful and knowledgeable at all times and nothing was ever too much trouble. Would highly recommend this B & B.

Friends who live in Plett recommended the Cornerway House to us. Owned by a South African lady & her partner who has been resident for years, the place's charm comes from a lovely Manager called Kathy. Both however have loads of tips to offer about the surrounding area. We stayed in a perfect little independent cottage on the property, especially as we were travelling with our 2 x doxies. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs. A lovely big bedroom & the best bed I have slept in for a while. Being winter, we had wood fires each evening & in the morning, as we used the time to work on our laptops, a gas fire was another option. Cooking was no problem either, as the kitchen was well supplied with gadgets including a washing machine & dishwasher. Sadly we didn't take advantage of the breakfasts except on one occasion, which was served in the main guesthouse, and was good wholesome food. Dogs are definitely welcome.

Spent two nights here and would recommend it. We were made very welcome immediately, the ambience created by the lovely garden hidden from the street is very peaceful. Our room had plenty space and very comfortable bed and nice shower/toilet facility. TV/fridge/hairdryer/kettle and wifi all provided. Breakfast cooked to order. Really liked it.
