Quirky olde worlde charme. Very dark when we entered on a wet evening..... lighting very dim. Staff lovely. Food lovely. Room 5 has lovely view of ocean..... Iron framed beds very high off the ground although there are lovely footstools to get up there. Stand alone bath in bedroom.... massive soft towels....

We stayed 2 nights here the staff were great and so was the breakfast. 19 steps to our room so not suitable for someone who has a mobility issue. The bed was accessed by a step and you had to have a bath 🛀 the shower had no surround or curtain and the water sprayed everywhere!, its ok but we...

We stayed for one night in April, in a sea view room and the view was amazing, right across the bay. The hotel itself is vintage style and serves a good breakfast. If you are a fan of clean and crisp looking hotels do not stay here. The hotel is clean but the vintage look could put some people off....

Enjoyed breakfast at The Grand twice, whilst in Plett recently. The vibe in this little boutique hotel is great. The views from the outside terrace are fantastic. Quality of food and service were excellent. Will definitely be back.

One of the best boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms are amazing with stunning views. I'm fussy over beds and the bed was perfect. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Only small Mona is I'd like a larger food menu and to see more good food offerings.

We enjoyed our three night stay in this wonderfully individual and rather quirky hotel. We stayed in the Bath suite …a very spacious , comfortable suite complete with its two baths , own courtyard , outdoor dining area and pool. Its style the fashionable ,' faded elegance' was both interesting and appealing. The restaurant is well appointed with amazing views...

We stayed for a night at the Grand Africa Rooms recently, and I am utterly obsessed with it. Our check-in was dead easy, the receptionist (Haley?) was wonderful, quick and friendly. She showed us to our room (No. 6) and briefly around the hotel. Our room was amazing, it was actually more of a suite than just a room. Old...

We were blown away by the spaciousness of our room, its magnificent views and the quirky old but comfortable furniture. I have slept on a fourposter beds before but never on one that needed a footstool to ascend and descend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and meals were a delight. I must also mention the vast library. All...
