The Robberg Beach Lodge boasts a prime location near the beach that guests love for its convenience and potential for relaxation. While the sea-facing rooms and the hotel's airy atmosphere receive compliments for fostering a relaxed vibe, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the value, citing additional costs and rooms that don't quite live up to expectations.
Cleanliness is generally praised, though certain areas could use more attention. The amenities and service are noted to be good overall, but guests believe there is room for enhancement, especially in terms of in-room decor and entertainment options.

We recently stayed here for a couple of nights. Such a lovely property. Just across from the beach, slightly out of Plettenberg but near enough to access by car or taxi. Upon our arrival we were met by Speedy, he was super efficient and very friendly front of house. He answered all our questions, helped with our parking, luggage and made us reservations at a local popular fish restaurant. Our room was in the block at the back of the main building, parking was secure and access to the room from parking was easy. Just to note that access to the main building involved a few stairs. The room was roomy and tastefully furnished. The air con had a night setting so was extremely quiet - great for sleeping.
Breakfast was taken in the main building which was light and airy. There was a great choice of dishes at breakfast. The lovely people serving breakfast were extremely pleasant and very efficient, continually replenishing food and topping up coffee cups.
We were asked by Anna Marie where we intended to visit, in turn she offered us money off vouchers and on the day we left she drew a map giving us suggestions of drop off points along our journey which proved to be very helpful.
I would definitely stay at the Robberg again, it was a beautiful place, but what really made the difference was the excellent customer focussed team that work there. Thank you for a lovely stay

We stayed here for 2 nights, in two separate rooms. The first night was the standard room, and the second the deluxe.
The hotel has a beautiful coastal beachy vibe and views (2 mins walk to the beach). The hotel staff are incredible, going out of their way to help. The service level is outstanding, with high attention to detail and thoughtful touches.
With that being said, we felt that with a couple of small changes, the hotel could be truly outstanding. For example, some aspects of the rooms (ie the bathrooms and hallways) are a bit outdated and look a bit worn. Just removing the hallway carpet would go a long way. We couldn’t even see the WiFi network in either of the rooms we were in, and even when we could connect in the main spaces, the connection was very slow.
Our experience in staying in the standard and deluxe rooms is that the difference between the 2 is negligible.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel, but with some small updates, it would really be outstanding.

What a treat, gorgeous location where you can walk on the beach just across the road or to Beacon Island and Central beach, very tastefully decorated and very spacious rooms. Staff very friendly. Serene and away from the hussle and bussle of main Plett. Definitely recommended

The location of this hotel is ideal for a beach holiday as you’re right on the picturesque Robberg 5 beach. The lodge is made up of different sections - I would pay a bit more to be in Robberg house rather than in Cottage Pie, as the rooms are bigger and more modern. Cottage Pie rooms would be perfect for kids/teens as they are cheaper and perfectly functional.
The breakfast selection had eggs etc as well as waffles and French toast.
Their breakfast cappuccinos weee not great…

We do indeed have different rooms for different holiday preferences and budgets. We are glad you enjoyed the breakfast, but we sincerely apologise for the cappuccinos. I’m ending off a week of holiday with my teenage daughter, at this wonderful establishment. The location (2min walk from bedroom to the ocean) opposite one of Plett’s premium beaches is spectacular, and ditto the view from breakfast.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, two pools with honesty bars, great lunch menu and staff that are friendly and eager to assist. All in all, a massively enjoyable 6 days. Well done to the Lions Roar team in Cape Town for their suggestion and great service. (My only minor note: please increase the internet speed and stability)

Amazing swimming beach within walking distance. Beautiful hiking trial close by. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Beautiful lodge, friendly staff. 3 small swimming pools on the property. The lodge serves delicious breakfasts. Only things that could be better in the room where we stayed was: the shower, amount of plugs, amount of closet space and hangers and the mini bar fridge.

Nice beach front accommodation. Lovely service. I think it pays to book the sea facing rooms, I don't think there's much point staying at a beach front accommodation if you are in the back. I would have expected a turn down service.

We stayed in the Ocean View room and I could watch the Sunrise, Moonrise and affects of the Sunset over the beach, all from my Bed. The service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff. It was clean and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and it comes with 2 complimentary starters (yogurt with muesli and fruit AND bread with cheese and assorted meats). The restaurant part of the lodge was beautifully decorated and made you feel at home. I initially had a traveling problem and Yumnaah (customer services) assisted over and beyond (you don't get that easily in SA). The Lodge was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5-10 minute drive to anywhere in town. I would definitely recommend this Lodge - 10/10. See you soon :)

We had a fantastic stay at this lodge. It was our wedding anniversary and they even decorated our bed with flower petals! The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room (B6) had a balcony and was beautiful. The breakfast room was so amazing - soft and tranquil music in the back ground, one wall covered with wood and wood planters filled with plants, and all the tables and decorations keep on with the earthy tones. The breakfast was great and the wrap with scrambled egg, salmon and cream cheese a definite winner. On our last day we went to make arrangements because we want to leave very early the next morning, and they bring us some food for the journey that evening. We can certainly recommend this place.

Sorry for the delay in answering. The rooms with the best view would be to the front. There are essentially three buildings that make up the property. We had no problem with noise.
The receptionist at Robberg Beach Hotel will be able to help. They will give you a map where it includes places of interests, restaurants and maybe beauty parlour as well where you can get the gel nail treatment. Enjoy your stay over there.
I have pictures of a garden room we had... car park and road was our view.
