Detailed Reviews
Such a neat place! Our rooms were fun and the bathrooms were really nice. We loved sitting on the front porch as well as visiting with the donkeys, dogs, and cat. The food here was AMAZING - breakfast was SO good and we're so glad we booked dinner there as well. We wish we had been able to stay more than one night and highly recommend a stay, or at the very least a meal or two here!

Room Tip: Rooms with the pond view are a bit louder because of the frogs and sometimes you can hear cars....

We had an amazing stay here. The hosts were very nice with us, the rooms really confortable and the property is beautiful. They have very cute animals too. And we also had dinner there, which was BY FAR the best meal we had in South Africa. I highly recommend the place!

In Nov. 2018 we spend two nights at the Villa Villekulla B&B (and gorgeous dinner).
(there is a misspelling in the title - ViLLekulla with „double l“)
The eco-friendly Villa is situated at the N2 next to Plettenberg Bay and offers four different theme rooms (Nov. 2018).
All with an separate bathroom/toilet inside.
Equiped with vintage/refurbished furniture you enter another world, full of an eye for the detail and filled with harmony ;).
New beds (single, double or king size) setting the the basement for the relaxing rest.
A huge terrace offer a great view over the lake.
Three dogs and one donkey run around and make you feel stepping out of the rush.
Daniela and Wil want to leave an small footstep on our planet. That‘s why the Villa is self-sufficent and produces the needed energy by themselves, as well as the use of natural water ressources.
The whole house was clean and well treated and we had fantastic meals offered by Daniela and Wil.
The Breakfast is a la carte and the dinner is optional (it’s absolutely recommendable).
Breakfast and dinner is served in the same room.
Hard fact’s:
- W-Lan is available
- enough parking space is on the site
- follow the address on the homepage / use the GPS coordinates / there is a sign next to the street (N2) which shows where you need to turn into

Times are tough, I get it, but don't shoot yourself in the foot!
I booked a two night stay here via booking.com but after establishing that a trip was unlikely we cancelled. Booking.com listing for this place is confusing as, it has two different policies - 1 states that they will contact you before they charge as money, the other says you'll pay up front for the total price of the stay.
Neither were true, we ended up paying a fully refundable deposit for 1 night. I waited 15 days (which is Booking.com's policy) then called them to notify them that I hadn't been refunded, they tried multiple times to call them and they never answered. After doing a chargeback, I wasn't expecting to hear from them again and then out of the blue an email was received to say that they had now processed a refund - 1 month after it should have been received.
Sadly for me the damage was done, I was threatened with the words "you are lucky to be receiving a refund"! My booking was a fully refundable one, thanks.
Won't be rebooking or advising anyone to stay here. Good luck if this is how you treat customers.
