Coolist guy in south africa. We had an amazing stay with John and Poppy. The guy knows the country like the back of his pocket and had the best tips and tricks. The view is amazing from the valley, the rooms have everything you need and the breakfast was a perfect start of the day. If you are looking for a place to stay, surch no more, you can't go wrong here! Pieter from Belgium

What to say.. where to start.. Well Plettenbarg Bay seemed to us like one of the pearls of our Garden Route trip through South Africa. You have the beach, and the great Nature Reserve Robberg Bay. You can go visit Nature Parks, hiking, relax, do all sort of (water) sports.. The residence is stunning, a view to the beach (5 min away by car) and big garden with a beautiful pool. Well the owner John he is one of the most heartful persons we have ever met. He gives tips what places you should visit in Plett, which restaurants he would recommend and also arranges a surf lesson in the morning starting two hours later - thanks again for this. Leaving John and this Guest House felt almost as saying goodbye to family. His staff is incredible especially Poppy, which served ous at breakfas. Thank you so much for the time we could spend with you, we will see you again.

Tucked in the valley surrounded by beauty, this was the perfect get-away after a stressful year. The rooms were immaculate and the bathrooms spacious. We used the communal lounge area to read on our one rainy day and spent our other days either relaxing by the pool or exploring Plett. Great restaurants nearby. John is very friendly and we felt very welcome. Would highly recommend Piesang Valley Lodge.

We were drawn back to this venue for the third time in five years, and given good health we will visit it again. John, the owner, was away this time, but we know and appreciate his personal oversight. Lenon and the other staff made our visit (and especially the breakfast served with a beautiful view of the valley down to the sea) as memorable as always, and we enjoyed the swimming pool and peaceful log cabin accommodation very much. Wifi in our room was poor, but why waste time on electronic communication when the venue offers so much more in terms of general relaxation. A bit outside Plettenberg Bay itself, a car is needed to enjoy the manifold touristic attractions the area offers, e.g. the beach, Tsitsikamma and Nature's Valley.

A bit out of the centre of Plettenberg, but the view was amazing. The garden was beautiful. Swimming pool available. In the room the wifi was good and a minibar/fridge and coffee/tea facilities were available. The shower and bed were nice. Breakfast was nice and the owner was really friendly! Every morning he gave us tips on where to go to and the must sees in the area.

Thanks to John, his team and his lovely pooches including Mango, Pippa and Harry for making our stay so special and easy. We came for a 3 day wedding from Namibia and had a great base at Piesang Valley Lodge.
