One of the best stays I have had. The unit did not disappoint at all. From scented candles to loadshedding preparation it's really thoughtful gestures. The service is speedy and on point. I highly recommend Mimosa Guesthouse.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Mimosa en-route to the coast. The accommodation is beautifully appointed, in spacious rooms with much character: everything was clean and we lacked nothing. We both had a good night’s sleep glad to each have our own bedroom. We didn’t make use of the self catering facilities but if we had been staying longer, this would have been great. Highly recommended.

Mimosa was perfect in every way. It was a pleasure to stay in a well considered adapted portion of a heritage house - a level of care and attention that it is a pleasure to see. The pool is a well of cool and calm in the hot weather.

It was a great time at Mimosa B&B, very clean and well decorated rooms and a very quiet place where you can really rest. A place where hospitality reigns supreme. I loved the dogs as well. I will come back to swim again.

Our host was so lovely and gracious. She was bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful, despite the challenges of Grahamstown infrastructure issues. The rooms are beautiful, linens sumptuous, and beds very comfortable. The only thing we missed was air conditioners.

3 Days to not reply to an email requesting accommodation. Only to be told on calling the establishment that if they did not reply it means they are fully booked. Not a fantastic way to make one feel that the servie will be good.

Welcoming, beautifully appointed rooms, well equipped kitchen with extras like filter coffee and rusks. Lovely garden and patio. Hosts friendly and very prompt in replying to all emails. Recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet residential area.

We spent 5 nights at Mimosa while in Grahamstown for a Rugby festival at Kingswood College. Memre was a fantastic host and her attention to detail; fresh flowers, a fruit bowl and the kitchen stocked to enable us to wake up on the first morning and have coffee and something to eat before we found our way around Grahamstown.

We stayed in the B and B with friends and even stayed in the one night and chatted around the kitchen table. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back next time we are in Grahamstown. A very lovely home away from home.

An excellent find in Grahamstown. The accommodation (self catering, two bedrooms) is quiet, cosy and charming, the beds are super comfortable and the shower is hot. The new owner Memre went out of her way to make us welcome - fresh flowers, tea, fresh milk and coffee pods for the Nespresso. What more could a weary traveller want?

My husband and I have been visiting Mimosa regularly for the past 4 years, so for us it definitely feels like "Home from home"
We sometimes go on or own or share with friends, we have also had our son stay over from time to time.
There are two bedrooms, one very comfortable queen bedroom with a door opening onto the beautiful quiet garden and pool area, which as a guest you are welcome to use on those hot Grahamstown summer days.
There is also a second generous size room with very comfortable twin beds so perfect for couples/ friends sharing or if you have kids. There is a small compact and well equipped sit in kitchen with a two plate stove, microwave etc
Most importantly Sasha and Martin are the perfect hosts, totally engaged in ones needs but at the same time very respectful of ones privacy, they are welcoming and very warm and often gone the extra mile for us!
We will be back soon!
