We had the most pleasant stay at A White House Guest House. Thank You to Yolandi our hostess for making us feel welcome and right at home. Our suite was beautifully appointed with all the amenities we needed including crisp white linen and towels and the most comfortable bed fit for a king. The full English breakfast was amazing as all the elements were perfectly cooked and Martin really enjoyed the bean to cup fresh coffee on offer. We would definitely recommend this gem of a guest house and most certainly return when we are in the area again. Well done and keep up the good work!

The guest house was extremely welcoming, with a professional atmosphere. The property is very secure and has ample parking. It is situated in a convenient location. The grounds are well kept and the swimming pool area is very pretty, and very relaxing. The breakfast menu has wide variety of delicious options.

This is an awesome guest house, very welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and to Jolandi thank you for all your assistance. I will definately bring my family down the next time I pass Grahamstown. Although I was there only for a night, the linen was crisp, breakfast delicious and the room was spotless

Great location, comfortable room, good breakfast and friendly staff made a good break. A home from home. Noisy guests in an adjacent room was a bit annoying but overall a good experience. Sure to be back when in the area again.

Disappointing stay, from 23 Dec to 27 Dec. Over-priced for what you get. I feel they are not four-star quality. We had booked the Family flat, which is at the back of the building, small and claustrophobic. Kitchen area was greasy and not clean. The two-plate stove control switch was broken. Our and one other guest’s vehicles were burgled in the early hours of 24 Dec 2014. Management then offered us two semi self-catering flats at the front of the building which we discovered on departure would cost us an additional R 1320. Bedding in the family flat was fine. The bedding in semi self-catering flat 11 was tatty and did not feel fresh. Kitchen cupboards in flat 11 smelt of mildew, chopping board had mildew growing on it. Flat 12’s loose carpet had so much dust under it and had obviously not been cleaned in a long time. The sleeper couch’s cover in Flat 11 was dirty, the kettle stopped working after 2 days. Shower tap fittings in flat 12 needs attention as does the tap fitting in the kitchen sink in flat 11. Breakfast nothing special just your average home cooked meal. The building has a slight air of neglect. Water pressure is a problem. Management was friendly.

I stayed there for a night while at a school reunion. The accommodation is great and staff very friendly. The room I stayed in had all the necessary amenities and plenty warm "stuff" for the Grahamstown cold. I would certainly stay there again.
