My family enjoyed our 2 night stay at the facility. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Location is also not far from the beaches and I would choose it again over a formal hotel. I would also recommend it to holiday makers. recommend it to

I stayed here while on business, it was lovely and homely. The service delightful and the breakfast delicious. It was good coming back to the B&B after a long day out. It was a home away from home!

I thing I was given the worst room. The ceiling had mould growth, Floors (laminates) were peeling off. The couch had a huge stain on it & dirty. .They had a generator but was not working.
The only positive thing was the breakfast was excellent.
I was the only guest staying there but would not move me to a better room. I checked out after one night stay.

The staff are exceptionally friendly, the room was comfortable. Location is central offers secure parking and good WIFI. Coffee on the deck with a view of the ocean was a wonderful and refreshing moment in the morning.

Response from Mich L, Owner at African Dreams Bed and Breakfast

Thank you for you honesty regarding the neighbourhood. Unfortunately in South Africa at the moment, there is not much we can do about how people behave and we try compensate for it by our service standards and how we treat our guests. We still pride ourselves in being the best we can be and even though the location is not the best, it's still very central to all places in and around East London.

I always feel so welcome at African Dreams (even when I have arrived too early and have messed up the bookings!). This time I stayed in the Zebra Room, having stayed in the Elephant Rom twice before. Clean, airconditioning, big, comfortable bed, coffee on tap, welcome choccie, plenty of fluffy towels, a really decent breakfast spread. Everything I want and need. Close to good restaurants and a beautiful beach. Safe parking (even though I struggle to manoeuver in the tight spaces), green spaces and pool are added bonuses.

Lovely property offering a good range of facilities, good wifi, good breakfast & friendly staff. The location is ok, the surrounding area seems a little rough, but walking around during the day was safe enough.

When we arrived we were slightly concerned about the neighborhood, not being a local, you look for signs on the safety of an area, and my antenna were twitching. However once the gates open, I was very pleasantly surprised. Very welcoming, great rooms and very family friendly setup.
Minutes from the seafront, and perfect for what we needed.
