Stunning guest house with spectacular sea view. I like the fact that there's secure parking and the establishment is secure. Secure is great! Painless and quick check-in from professional management and staff. The entire establishment is very clean. I stayed in room 7 - stunning sea views (I literally felt like The Paralian!). I loved the breakfast as we as the fact that there is the Grazia Restaurant just down the road. Will definitely come back.

We visited the Paralian as a result of a last minute decision to go somewhere for Easter. It’s not easy finding family-friendly accommodation on short notice that isn’t ‘quaint’ (looking like something that was already old in the eighties). If you want modern you often need to cough up for two rooms or get an apartment. The Paralian is just great - it’s new and slick and I loved the yellow, grey and white theme that is pervasive. The customer service is really, really good too. I wasn’t happy with the first room (downstairs, not enough light and not sea facing) and Eric went out of his way to address it with something better. I appreciated it - it’s all too often nowadays that people shrug their shoulders and say ‘sorry, I can’t help you further’...but he genuinely tried to see if there was another option. The room was cozy but clean and kids slept on the converting sofa with the sounds of the ocean in the background. The view from the balcony was spectacular. I had a cup of tea in the morning watching the sun come up over the ocean. The breakfast was properly good - you pick from some menu options and they serve it up with care. The coffee is genuine espresso too - not filter coffee that was brewed hours ago. They have secure parking and you sign for your remote. I didn’t get a chance to explore the neighborhood because it’s a short layover (and to be honest it starts looking a bit seedy two roads back from the beach...as is often the case in SA...but no reason to feel concerned and there were runners about). So, yes I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone passing through or staying in East London.

Upon my first arrival at the Hotel - i was greeted with a smile match to none. Well done to the receptionist. I did not need to remind them of my extras on the booking, everything was on time and well prepared, Scrumptious breakfast, well done indeed, staff were also very friendly and accommodating, I will definitely stay here again and again.

Stayed for 3 nights during Tourism Month, September 2018 and World Tourism Day celebrations. Who knew you would get such a funky and awesome Guest House in EL. This place is awesome. Highly recommended. On my list of top Guest Houses I have ever stayed in. Friendly Staff, delicious breakfast, genuine German breakfast - wietwurst and homemade pretzel, fresh home made bread with your breakfast everyday. Rooms are outstanding, comfortable beds, sparkling clean, funky modern design and well appointed, crisp clean white linen. Truly a diamond in the rough, certainly unexpected in EL. puts some other guest houses I have stayed in the past to shame. Well done Eastern Cape for showing how it should be done. The staff are super friendly and helpful too. Fabulous stay, I’ll be back!
