We were in room 702 (that will probably be our horror story going forward). First we noticed that the shower doesn’t have a head so in actual fact it’s just a pipe that drips water, previous tenant vandalism we thought as we called reception, only to realize the phone in our room too doesn’t work. We had to walk down 7 floors just to be told that their showers are like that and there’s nothing they are willing to do about it. Don’t get me started with the mats, all I can say wet dog smell, and if you suffer from hay fever, ashma etc STAY AWAY!! Ow and their pool been on “maintenance something “ but why advertise you have one and from my view the pool just very dirty and needs a clean.

My wife and I checked in on 31st October, check in etc reasonable. Took some of our luggage up to the room, we were motorbiking, and when we went down to fetch the balance, noticed guests coming in with cooler boxes. Nevertheless, when we got back up to our room, room 810, the noise had started. We went down to dinner at 6:30, as we were advised on checking in that dinner was served from that time, we were told that it was only served from 7:00 pm. When I noticed that the bar area was closed, I was told that no alcohol was served in the hotel due to Covid 19. Never mind that a 21st birthday party was being held and alcohol was flowing freely! We were advised that if we would like a drink, we should join the 21st Birthday party. Uninvited, really??? When we went back to our room to think about our stay, we listened to the awful noise coming from rooms around us and left the hotel to find another place to stay. Fortunately The Hamptons across the road had a room for us and accommodated us at 7:30pm in the evening. What a blessing for us. When we collected the balance of our luggage the following morning, as we had paid for the room on arrival, the manager was nowhere to be found and the "receptionist" was not interested in the least with her sullen attitude. Very disappointing. When we reported the noise to the receptionist the previous evening, we were told that it was probably the noise from one of the downstairs rooms. The Osner? Never again. It was an absolute disgrace.

The staff ( mostly) were excellent! They managed to check me in early and even when I had issues my door wouldn’t open correctly and took several hours to fix and they gave complimentary breakfast. The surrounding area isn’t very safe ( feedback from both staff and locals) so be careful. They shut the bar early after the cricket which was a shame and assume lost revenue for the hotel? Hotel clean and tidy with great views.

Booked in for two nights, 24th and 25th Feb. The aircon didn't work properly. We complained and were told it would be fixed the next day, but it wasn't fixed. Any businessman values a good night's sleep above everything. The heat and humidity at night made for uncomfortable sleep. WiFi speed is 512 kbps, and you have a daily 25 MB quota.
