Can't say enough about this reserve! We stayed in a tent at the Valley Camp beginning the 17th of August. EVERYONE went out of their way to ensure our experience was exactly what we wanted. Food was great. Every single staff member, as well as the owner, were positive, helpful and professional. Our Guide, AJ, consulted with us on everything and listened to what we had to say and what we wanted out of our experience there. He then tailored our excursions to get the most out of our trip. We would certainly go back again and recommend this reserve to everyone.

The plumbing does not work, everything blocks
The cars at the game drive get stuck, the drive is unnecessarily long
The showers and bathroom are old and mouldy

The service is very friendly and the team tries to make the best of the situation

We had the pleasure of staying at the family accommodation tents, amazing game drive and top quality meals over the weekend. Excellent service from checking in until departure. Our favourite reserve to go to. Thanks for everything, we will come again soon!

Just got back from a “3 day” experience at inkenkwezi. To say it was amazing is an understatement. It was absolutely brilliant and so good that we stayed an extra day to truly experience as much as possible. I recommend staying as long as you can. The game drives were brilliant and my favourite was the 2x hour quad bike experience. Our guides Chad and Kaylee were just the best and I will be highly recommending them and inkenkwezi to anyone I can. Thank you to Graham and the whole team and especially Chad and Kaylee. We will be back!!

We were blown away by the exceptional service at Inkwenkwezi. Willem was our host for the weekend. We could not have been assigned a better host. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left Inkwnekwezi we felt spoilt. The food was phenomenal, the scenery superb, the activities exciting and the service on point. Thank you Inkwenkwezi for an unforgettable stay. We will definitely visit again.

The stay was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and ensured we viewed some animals, even in challenging weather conditions. The food was wonderful and the attention we received from the staff was fantastic. The ratio of staff to guests was a stand out for us

We were taken by our Guide to our truly magical tent after a 4x4 drive along a bumpy track. The facilities and catering was amazing and we were very lucky to see all of the animals on our two game drives. If you’re looking for a real game reserve experience, you will be pleasantly surprised.

It is best to visit Inkwenkwezi's website for tarriffs. We found them reasonable, since meals and gamedrives are inclusive of their prices. You only pay extra for drinks and additional activities.

Sorry I can't answer your question. You need to contact the reserve management for the answer. I should have thought it would be on their web site. I was only a visitor for one day and had lunch there.

Inkwenkwezi is about 30 kilometers from East London, and in the time you have it may not be practical to hire a car. A taxi hire for the day could be possible, but could be expensive. Why not contact Inkwenkwezi by phone or on their email form which is on their website? I am not allowed to paste the link, but on their website is a button to click to get phone number or fill in your details to send an email with your question. Good luck in getting there, the opportunity to feed the elephants is a unique personal experience.

Can one come in for a day viewing without necessarily booking
Answer from teibaz
Europe134 contributions63 helpful votes
This is what we did. We were a family of 6 and arrived there in the morning, paid the entrance fee and were allowed to go on the next tour. We only wanted to experience the interaction with the elephants, which included an opportunity to feed an elephant. A wonderful experience. The website of Inkwenkwezi provides a phone number and opportunity to send email questions, if you need to do this.
