The location is very tranquil and beautiful and provided a great opportunity for reflection. Be aware that if you have mobility issues the Bird Cove accommodation could be a problem as : 1) You will not be able to drive up to the door of the cabin 2) There is a steep ladder to

Our website clearly states which cabins are walk ins and which cabin is drive up and that a light breakfast snack is provided to get you on your way. The website pages provide pictures of each cabin both exterior and interior to give guests a look at what is offered in each. Not all booking sites provide this extensive group of photos but an overview only. Well researched lodging accommodations prior to booking typically result in fewer disappointments. These are stand alone cabins for the independent traveler and not corporate industrial lodging accommodations.

Such a lovely setting for these cabins. Ours was very comfortable but I was glad I didn't have to sleep in the loft as the ladder was a little scary for me. These eco friendly cabins are beautifully situated on the lake however do not have drive-up access. We just took what we

The access to the loft is a Skandinavian style ladder used successfully in their cabins for years. The short, 80’ to 180’, gravel walk-in path to 2 of the cabins is what gives them the quiet and eco friendly lakeside atmosphere we try to maintain for guests. We do provide a hand cart with large wheels for your use to get your luggage to your cabin without having to carry it in or out.

this was a quaint (little) cabin - one room-kitchen with small loft for the bed. Bed was small and not comfortable. The cabin was clean and did have a nice shower. I did not like the RV-style incinerator toilet.... We had multiple issues with it working correctly.

The cabin is like trying tiny house living as it is decribed on the website. The full size mattress is a new (May 2018) mid range memory foam mattress. I went so far as to replace the toilet with a newly serviced one after being informed of issues with the existing one while they were staying here. While servicing the removed unit I found the closure return springs were weak and replaced them. Some things just wear out with use.

Very nice stay. Maybe you will need a GPS to fond it, but it's a quiet place with lake access and BBQ. The cabin is fully equiped and the own is very kind. For nature lovers; we even saw a moose in the morning.

There is a clear and printable map on the website home page to our location. As we all know map apps are close at best and not very precise, this is especially true in Alaska.

This was a great place to stay, we rented the Hilltop cabin. Beautiful scenery, provided a hair dryer, WiFi worked great, beds are comfortable, and it was very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

How many adults can the cabins sleep comfortably?
I would say 4 comfortably. We really loved this place, and if you want the iconic Alaskan cabin in the woods, this is your place. He had other cabins too that may even be larger, I would inquire with the owner.
