The staff was very gracious and the food was good. The only difficulty we had was ordering room service with people that could not translate into English. Also it would have been nice if the broken ice machine would have been fixed during the week!

the overall was nice, beautiful hotel and many restaurants to choose very good minus the microwave and refrig not in my room. the cleaning staff and others always greeted with bueno dias, good morning, do i need fresh towels, soap etc. or what else can i get you, very kind

As others say, a huge hotel and very echoey corridors with noisy people coming and going at all hours. Perhaps some signage to remind people to be considerate? I stayed here at the beginning and end of a tour and honestly I preferred the non refurbished room, with more wood, warmer lighting and nothing wrong with it. The reburbishment in 1007 was poorly done (already cracked tiles and gaps between baseboards and walls, updates include cold clinical lighting and hard surfaces that carry sound and give horrible acoustics. I really liked the pool and hot tub. Staff generally good though tea and coffee is slow at breakfast. Breakfast buffet is good. In the restaurant I had a good meal (pitas), an OK one (risotto) and a really poor one (ravioli).

Only stayed there for one night, overall clean room and good breakfast. We arrived late due to plane delay, initially navigation sent us to the wrong place and finally found this one. Good parking, and good selection of breakfast, friendly staff, pool area looked nice but we only stayed a short night so hard to comment there

We stayed for one night at the end of a 4 week stay in Costa Rica. The room was very comfortable and quiet even though it was close to the centre of San Jose. Breakfast was also good with temperature controls on the buffet to ensure the food was hot. The most impressive thing was the staff, particularly McCarthy. My partner was taken ill after a long car journey that day and McCarthy went above and beyond in helping me support him. He called the medics and helped to translate, then provided a wheelchair. The following day reception staff helped with the transfer to the airport and ensured that the driver helped me at the airport. I was very impressed with the help that I received
