Our family of five had a wonderful stay at La Posada and we would absolutely return in the future. The Mono room was the perfect size for our family of five. Having air conditioning was definitely a welcome feature for those hotter days we were there. Daniel and his team were fantastic hosts, even beginning before we arrived. They helped us arrange a tour with an amazing guide (Jainer), get our booking to enter the park, get taxis/transport (not always simple for a family of five) and even find a birthday cake for a special dinner celebration. Also, once the park closes, the crowds disappear and you have the whole area to yourself.

We picked this hotel because of the its proximity to the park and we are so glad we did. The hotel, as others have described, is contiguous to the park. The monkeys come out and are not shy. It's like being inside the park and enjoying the symphony of the howlers, capuchin and other wildlife all the time. The staff was very nice. Rony, Carlos and Damian were helpful and accommodating. The room had a funny odor and the pillows were awful (lumpy). There were very few guests and no breakfast available, which is a shame. I felt the property could use some TLC but I imagine they have been hit hard by the pandemic. This property has so much potential. It's a great place to spend your first night in this area, but once you've done the park, it makes sense to move elsewhere.

My husband and I spent 9 wonderful days/nights at La Posada and loved everything about it. It’s adjacent to Manuel Antonio National Park, and walking distance to several beaches and restaurants. We particularly liked Donde Alex ( and the kind waiter, Johnny) and Marlin ( try the whole grilled fish). From our room we could see and hear howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, hummingbirds, and 2 sloths- without even entering the park. Because of COVID, the restaurant wasn’t always open but the hotel made sure Donde Alex accommodated us for the “included” breakfasts. The best part of La Posada was the hosts- Damien ( who suggested La Biensanz beach and the amazing El Avion restaurant) and helped tremendously with our reservations, Carlos (Charley) who seems to run around and do 5 jobs at once, and the One and Only Ronny Z! He made sure we had everything we needed, helped me learn Spanish ( even gave me a quiz!), and made me an official Tica and my husband an official Mae! We really appreciated that they were all bilingual, so kind and friendly, and so knowledgeable about the area and the culture and beautiful country. Pura Vida!

Great Location: At the entrance of the National Park. Walk to the beach, restaurants and gift shops. Rooms: The rooms are as described on the website. Rooms downstairs are spacious, clean, bright and comfortable with outdoor seating in the garden. Rooms upstairs are larger, new with beautiful wood floors, and lots of storage space, balcony and a private patio. Water pressure, air conditioning and Wifi very good. Breakfast at the hotel is very affordable, if it's not on the menu just ask and they will try to accommodate you. They make the most delicious beef soup for lunch. Pool: Although we didn't use it because we went to the beach everyday, we saw other families enjoying the pool which is in the garden. Hosts: Rony booked our friendly guide (Esteban) to the park and recommended the best restaurants in town. He also made our appointment for the covid test. Rony and Carlos were very helpful in providing everything that we needed to feel comfortable, including umbrellas (it was rainy season) and beach towels. They went above and beyond to provide excellent accommodations and we had a wonderful time in a family atmosphere. I recommend La Posada for the excellent service, great location and the friendly family atmosphere that they create right next to the jungle! I am using this opportunity to say Thanks to Rony, Carlos and everyone at La Posada for making our trip to Costa Rica one that we will always remember. Pura Vida

We thoroughly enjoyed. our stay at La Posada. We chose the hotel for it's proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park (literally backs up to the park) and could not have been happier. Room was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with the necessities. Staff was extremely accommodating - We drove straight there from San Jose when we arrived, spent the night and visited the park the next day. We were able to get a late check out with no problem, allowing us to return to our room after the park, shower and clean up before we headed south. Due to COVID, the restaurant was not open, but there was a great soda (diner) right next door. Plan on returning for a longer stay. Great location, great staff, good price, clean and comfortable.
