Bold in presence; playful in personality. Los Altos Resort Private Reserve & Beach is Manuel Antonio's premier laid back luxury boutique resort. The Los Altos aesthetic represents a sensitive integration between tropical authenticity and modern amenities. We offer 28 gorgeous private residences, each boasting a vivid Pacific Ocean view through floor to ceiling windows. Also, for a luxury resort in the heart of Manuel Antonio, our rates are very reasonable. Very reasonable, and you get a lot out of us, which we're happy about. We like to keep things simple.

We stayed here recently in July and the hotel is quaint and beautiful. We are Hyatt members and found this hotel through their SLH line. Each room is a suite and has an elevator that goes up to your large suite. Kenneth was very accommodating and switched our room to a higher floor with a better view, thank you!. We especially loved the evening happy hour drinks that were deliciously made that were 2 for 1 from 4-6pm at the pool or restaurant. The restaurant was delicious and we ate there almost every night. The staff was all so attentive and wonderful. The views here are amazing, it truly is a slice of paradise. I loved the small intimate experience of this hotel but also the beauty and luxury of it. Parrots flying all around the property, just beautiful.

This was our 3rd stop on our Costa Rica trip. While the room was nice, the service was the worst of all of the places we stayed. Kenneth was nice and helpful, but besides him the staff was really not great—especially at the restaurant. We would not stay here again if given the chance to do so.

This is one of the best boutique hotels my husband and I have stayed at. The views are breathtaking and there’s wildlife everywhere! The staff was kind enough to point them out; we saw toucans, squirrel monkeys, parrots, and sloths! The staff is incredibly hospitable, made booking excursions easy, and went out of their way to assist us. Los Altos staff dropped us off at our second destination, and even scheduled our COVID test to enter back into the US after we already checked out. The suites are amazing! It was a 3 bed/2.5 bath with balconies in every room and the living room. My favorite part - an elevator entrance to your suite, and complimentary dessert every evening that they personally drop off to you! You can hike down to their private beach which is great cardio since it’s about 0.5miles downhill, or you can request a shuttle for drop off/pick up. Breakfast is included every morning, and they host fun activities such as a empanada cooking classes. The location is central and walking-distance to a lot of restaurants, souvenir shops, and local grocery stores.

Boy, where do I begin? This place is amazing! The staff was exceptional, was very patient with us as we do not speak the language very well, they were extremely helpful with suggestions on where to go for a fun night and the cleaning staff did a marvelous job with our condo. Yea, let's talk about the condo! WOW! You step off the elevator and you are in your own private 2500 sq ft condo. Beautifully decorated and designed. Very spacious bedrooms and huge balconies that have views of the ocean. The only thing I would say is if you want completely obstructed views, you need to be higher than the 2nd floor, which we were on and still loved the view. The wildlife watching from the balcony is so cool, I almost felt like I was in a movie with the beautiful birds flying back and forth. Monkeys jumping from branch to branch, it was really surreal. The food at the restaurant was always very good and I do have to say the waiters were very attentive and are very good at their jobs. We met the owner, who happened to be visiting, and his son, who manages the place and they are some of the nicest people I have met. The pool is really nice and a great place to just hang out with the staff willing and ready to serve you. The walk down to the private beach is a doozy! But they do offer shuttle services down there. My husband and I braved the walk, and I am glad we did, beautiful scenery with every turn. The beach is very rocky, but beautiful. Not really ideal for having the kiddos down there playing in the water, but it is so peaceful. My husband and I loved the place and can't wait to be back to visit!

I always enjoy the quaint fun town that is Manuel Antonio. This property is locating on one of the cliffs that offers amazing views. This is a family-oriented property that makes for an economical stay. It offers 2400sq ft which is great along with a kitchen, living room, and dining room. Each room offers balconies some with great views and some without. There is room for much improvement to include better finishes and esthetics. It could be a true luxury space with the update and changes. The breakfast left was not up to par with the average Costa Rica breakfast which normally has so many great options. Breakfast and its services were disappointing. I did enjoy 1 of the lunches there but could not express that dining needs to be stepped up. The staff was nice and helpful. Manager Jerry was a great host. Where things are now I would not look to book for my clients. This being a family property there was only a TV in the master and living room, which could leave mom and dad with no privacy. Great location just needs improvements.
