We really enjoyed our stay at Cariblue. Our bungalow (212) was rustic but very comfortable. It was also tucked away in the back of the property which allowed us privacy and was super quiet. We never heard a peep from anyone and we hope no...More
The property is amazing & the service & hospitality of the staff & manager Ziggy.is A-1.
A great beach is right across the street but the hotel has a beautiful pool with swim up bar if you want to swim with a jungle feel.

We travelled throughout Costa Rica this August using Interbus, a shared shuttle minibus service. Our first journey was from San Jose to The Cariblue - door to door. We had stayed overnight at The Hotel Presidente in San Jose the night before, so technically not an airport shuttle, but I guess it depends on what time your flight gets in or leaves. No one recommends travelling long distances in Costa Rica after dark (approx 6pm) and this journey is a good 4 to 5 hours including one comfort stop. I would definitely recommend checking out the Trip Advisor Costa Rica forum for loads of great travel advice. Hope that helps!
