Our stay at Nayara Resorts was exquisite. The staffs' attention to detail was impeccable: we were greeted with vanilla scented towels upon arrival, the registration staff were both attentive and knowledgeable in booking excursions, the coordination of transportation was flawless, the food at each and every restaurant was delicious and beautifully presented, the housekeeping staff provided top notch service. The grounds themselves were amazing, it was like staying in a botanical garden. The morning yoga offered sounds of nature during the hour session. The spa and thermal pools were entirely unique to the resort.
This property was everything we could have ever imaged for our honeymoon. The staff was absolutely incredible, always there to help us find what we'd like to do and extremely accommodating. Everyone there spoke English but we were eager to practice our Spanish and they were patient. There was maid service 2x a day. The property like something from a dream, with views of Arenal Volcano. There are paths throughout the property winding through lush trees and so much wildlife to be spotted. The hot springs are scattered about the fairy lit trees and are something out of a dream. Hands down, recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.
My wife and I stayed here in the middle of June 2021 for our honeymoon. I can confidently say this was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, ever. From the customer service, to the delicious food, and the amazing drinks, everything was perfect. Their attention to detail was astounding. The staff at Nayara made our stay memorable for years to come, and more special than I could even imagine. Of the three areas of the Nayara resort, we stayed in the Gardens (open to adults and children) fitted with a lavish outdoor patio with a private jacuzzi and a hammock, and an outdoor shower. Although we stayed at Gardens, amenities and restaurants were open to all the guests from all three resorts. In June, it’s considered the early part of their rainy season. Although it rained each day during our stay, it was almost clockwork, raining around 3pm and 5pm for a short amount of time. I highly suggest taking some time and checking out their thermal springs, which were amazing and incredibly romantic. Some were even so secluded, you could end up with one of your own. My wife and I also did the Romantic Dinner which is a complete must and incredible experience. Andrey, our server and sommelier, guided us through a culinary journey and paired some fantastic wines with each meal. We also scheduled a Wine & Food pairing at the Wine Bar where Jose , a sommelier, was also incredibly knowledgeable and did an amazing job guiding us through each of our meals. Jose perfectly paired a different wine to each course. At the Wine Bar, Leo, another sommelier, educated us on wines throughout the South American region and Spain. He taught us how pairings are thought of and how certain wines are paired with food. Each of the staff members went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Maria greeted us at the door right when we pulled in. Carlos, Kristel, and Maria at the front desk, did an amazing job helping us check in, helping us make reservations for our excursions and dinners, and assist us in any which way imaginable. The food at Amor Loco was exquisite! Erick, our server was phenomenal, I highly suggest eating their corvina and having the Café Flambé for desert, the Presentation for the flambé was awesome. Breakfast was buffet style, and the staff was also so friendly and helpful. Diego and Max are awesome. Asía Luna, their Asian-Peruvian Fusion restaurant was also very good. Our server Donald, was fantastic and offered exceptional customer service. And Junior, the barrista conjured up some amazing drinks at the Kali Kali swim up bar. My wife and I also did the “Unforgettable Nayara”, literally the most romantic couples massage imaginable. Sitting amongst the rainforest, a full body massage for an hour, with a 30min facial and 30min in a jacuzzi with Cava, fruits, and chocolates. Ivana was my missus, and she did an extraordinary job. There’s also “Mi Cafecito”, their coffee bar. Pablo and their staff took us on a coffee tasting tour. He taught us how coffee is made, prepared, and how to properly steep and taste coffee. Imagine a wine tasting, but with coffee. Pablo is very knowledgeable and enjoys teaching others about the world of coffee. You can see his passion in each and every cup. We did a few excursions while on our vacation, although they aren’t affiliated with Nayara, I feel as though Nayara offered the best experiences for their guests. We first did the Pure Trek Canyoning tour, where we rappelled down waterfalls. Then we did the SkyTrek zip line, where the views were extremely high, but AMAZING! Both companies had everything dialed in and were incredibly safe. They made you feel comfortable, safe, and a priority at each waterfall and zip line. Finally, our last excursion was run and affiliated by Nayara. We did the “Nature Lover’s” Hike, where Isidrio, our guide, took us throughout the Hanging bridges park and the La Fortuna Waterfall. Isidrio carried a telescope and frequently stopped to show us the animals and explain the terrain/ flora & fauna to us. Incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and super passionate about the experience of his guests. It was almost like hiking with a guide right out of National Geographic. The views and the local people are enough to plan a future trip to La Fortuna. I can confidently say, that I would undoubtedly recommend my family and friends to stay at Nayara Gardens. The staff was friendly, kind, a pleasure to talk to, and they really did do an excellent job of making you feel right at home. The turndown service and the small gestures in our room created by the staff made our honeymoon even more special. Our Luna de Miel will always be remembered as one of the greatest experiences we ever had. I really want to thank the the staff at Nayara for making our stay exceptional. Everyone was exceptional, and if I forgot your name I apologize. Thank you to: At La Terreza: Diego & Max Asía Luna: Donald & Junior Amor Loco: Erick Mi Cafecito: Pablo Romantic Dinner: Andrey Wine Bar: Leo & Jose Front desk: Maria, Carlos, & Kristal Guided Tour: Isirdo Housekeeping: Lesbia Thank you all so Much!!! Absolutely perfect! My new wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, we were greeted with smiles, a local beverage and a cool scented towel to refresh ourselves from the travel. It was just what we needed. Our room was covered with rose pedals and balloons also a bottle of champagne! From Jason at concierge to Claudia the incredible bar tender and all the staff in between, they went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We will be back! ! Until our anniversary, thinking about our trip everyday. Thank you so much for an unforgettable honeymoon! Tanner and chloe
Our trip to Nayara Gardens was breathtaking. From the amenities to the service it was all perfect. I would like to especially recognize the service at the "Nostalgia Wine Bar" on the resort. Leo was the nicest and most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to wine. We ended up going there every single night, even after dinner, just to go see him and try the wines he was suggesting for us. He truly made our trip unforgettable and very personal. We will always remember Nayara Gardens for how Leo treated us!
