Detailed Reviews
The location of the hotel near the volcano is incredible. The room itself was decent, but the wi-fi (very important for a 14-year-old) was only in the lounge area. The breakfast was delicious. The tours were arranged smoothly by the staff. The pools seemed inviting (though we didn't use them). The layout and decorations were pretty.

We had an excellent stay in Hotel Lavas Tacotal. Karen, on reception, was an excellent host from warm welcome up to check out. Karen helped us with reservations for other activities after half a day spent in the rainforest. We stayed in room 26 with a direct view of the volcano. Breakfast was superb quality, fresh and good variety. The extra mile was, when breakfast was ready at 6:45, what was an incredible gesture for all customers leaving early for activities starting 8am, which involves little travel. Highly recommended.

Very nice common spaces, both the breakfast area and the gardens and pools are very well maintained.
Good breakfast buffet and discount at Baldi if you take it through the hotel (I recommend taking only access to the bathrooms, the buffet is not worth it).
The negative point comes in the rooms, which despite being spacious, have a terrazzo floor that was almost always damp and very worn and, in our case, dirty towels.
Correct staff, nothing more.

This quaint little hotel is perfect for exploring the La Fortuna area.
We stayed two nights while exploring and doing tours.
Kembly the manager is super friendly and has tons of information about what to do in the area.
The hotel has two pools, very clean and amazing views of the Volcano.
The cabins are clean, conformable and have beautiful views of the lush tropical gardens and the Arenal Volcano.
It is situated 9km outside of La Fortuna but close by is a little supermarket to stock up on things and the rooms have a small fridge!
Breakfasts are delicious and served with a fruit plate!
We had great fun and really enjoyed the stay!

The hotel is in a beautiful location with a breathtaking view of the volcano.
The rooms are beautiful, large with an external veranda and most with a view of the volcano. The garden is not large but beautiful and with an infinite wealth of plants. The two swimming pools are very pleasant.
Friendly staff, good breakfast.
The only flaw: the lighting of the rooms: there is only one central (cold) light which makes it difficult to read from the bed and which means that if one is sleeping and the other is reading there is no light for reading.

Excellent, friendly hotelwith a prime view at the foot of the volcano surrounded by grass. One of the pools was under reonstrution so they put us in the better rooms at the bak whih are very comfortable and quiet. The grounds are planted with flowers and well lit. The bathroom provides soap and shampoo. Altogether an entirely pleasant experience.

Lovely Hotel located at the bottom of the volcano Arenal. You get some amazing views of it and you can enjoy your day at one of the pools surrounded by the amazing green areas with beautiful plants. If you are lucky you can spot some amazing wild life as well!

Very little lighting in the room. The room looks very dark, to be with family is very difficult. The internet despite being close to the reception is very very bad, the data packet of the cell phone is better. But they are small because in the end the hotel is very nice the comfortable beds the bathroom has enough space the common areas very clean and good customer service

Me and my brother stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and i will definitely recommend this hotel. It felt so nice and relaxing, i didnāt catch the gentleman name at the front desk but he was the most helpful and friendliest person and truly was amazing.
I find the location of the hotel great, thereās walking distance food and activities close by and itās also safe to walk.
We book the bungalow deluxe room and it was so spacious and well kept i loved it.
I will definitely come back to this hotel.

The room was great and with all comforts, nice pool open until 10pm, breakfast ok, I found the person at the check in the first day not very Pura Vida, beautiful view on Arenal vulcan. Mixed feelings about this hotel. They don't have water points to fill in your bottle, the bar gives you ice cubes to fit in your water bottle...
