Hotel's Favourite
What an amazing place. We have travelled all over the world and this has to be the best hotel we have stayed. The staff are so helpful and friendly and really make your stay special. Anna, Alan, Kevin, Sol on reception and Eric, Charlie, Melhany in the restaurant and a big shout out to Jay he was awesome. The room was beautiful and clean. We saw lots of animals, including sloths, and the surrounds are gorgeous. Take advantage of the free sloth tour and the frog night tour at the sister hotel. A 20 ish minute to walk into the town or you can drive and parking is easy.

Our stay at Noah’s Forest exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom with the dual shower heads and roomy shower was amazing especially with the sounds of the forest in the background. The hot tub was also fantastic after a long day of hiking and sightseeing.
Noah’s Forest is tucked away from the center of town but also incredibly convenient to all the area’s activities. The secluded location makes it feel like it’s own private paradise with lush vegetation and plenty of opportunities to see the resident birds.
The included breakfast was tasty and a great way to prepare for a long day.
Perhaps the best part of Noah’s Forest was the staff. From email communications with Carlos to arrange late check in, to Cristina who made us feel very well taken care of during breakfast, to Rebeca who was lovely to check in with and made sure we didn’t miss our tour bus one morning, every single staff member was so friendly and so helpful.
Tip: if you want cold beers to enjoy in the hot tub after a long day, stop by the front desk on your way back in. This was a lovely surprise for us when we thought we’d have to go back out to the market for refreshments.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Although we only spent one night we would have gladly stayed longer. The individual cabina style room was ample size had a comfortable bed and pillows, clean, modern and offered a lot of privacy. Ours was right next to the river where we saw armadillo, red frogs, toucan and a few sloths.
The hotel grounds were amazing, pool was nice and refreshing and each cabina has it's own spa.
And the hotel is a short walk or drive to town.
Upon arrival we were greated by the receptionist Christina who made us feel very welcome. Check in was quick and simple. Our short adventure started right away.

This hotel has alot of potential for the future, however currently it just isn't ready for paying guests.
Accommodation:
It all seemed to be a bit rushed, rough paint jobs, loose fixtures, taped door latches, broken latches, no lights fitted, seat covers in the wash. Yes it has a private hot tub and yes the beds are comfortable but the rest really let's it all down.
Staff:
The staff were fantastic and although not being able to give us a refund on our room due to the companies terrible no refund policy, that did what they could to make the experience more comfortable.
We were moved to a larger room that was finished to a better standard and they also covered all the bathroom vents to stop all the mosquitoes getting in at night.
General:
1. No signage off of the main road which makes it very hard to find in the evenings, also highlights it isn't finished yet.
2. Gravel throughout so good luck dragging your travel cases.
3. Severe lack of lighting throughout. Staff also had to use hand torches and due to outside lights not being fitted you cant see a thing when you come back at night.
4. The list could go on.
Overall:
This hotel does have bags of potential for the future, very picturesque, nice pool, nice breakfast, nice location, just not ready for paying customers yet and rushing it may just cause too much damage.
My recommendation would be to exploit the covid-19 crisis, close it to the public get it upto scratch.

Dear Mark. Thank you for your comments. We are in a remodeling process, but it does not mean that this interrupt the guest stay, because there is no any sounds of construction, and it is for providing safety. The rooms that we have ready for clients, they have the services as we are offering through this web site, or through our website. We offer a 100% relaxing, comfortable and surrounding by nature stay, with breakfast included. So this means that the rooms with a private jacuzzi are ready, the breakfast service is ready, the relaxation areas are ready, a forest with amazing views of birds, sloths, frogs, and big iguanas, are available for our clients. Also a parking service for free, and laundry service are ready to offer more comfort, so there is no need to close, we are working hard every day to remove in a few weeks the black net, which is not going to be there forever, as we already mentioned above, it is only for safety. You should know that we are 100% committed to provide the best experience to our clients, so that is why we are still getting better every day. By the other hand every day, our rooms need to be clean during the morning, to be ready at 3:00p.m which is the check in time, so that means the maids should wash, not only the bed clothes, but also the seat covers, to guarantee a completely, clean, comfortable and beautiful rooms to our guest. We really appreciate your visit, and we hope to see you again in your future vacations. Best regards.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The pictures on the website are accurate, your little rooms are so private, surrounded by lush colourful jungle-like planting. What a great job the garden staff do to take care of the place. When you have your curtains wide open, there is still complete privacy and, with the floor to ceiling windows, it looks like your room is in the middle of a garden.
The rooms are large and spacious, everything is very modern and the showers-wow. The best in the 5 locations we stayed in. SO powerful, it washed my hair clean in seconds and I had to do battle with myself to not waste water as it was blissful standing under it.
The staff, however do persist in changing your towels, even though you hang them up (as per instruction if you want to re-use to save water etc). This is a pet hate of mine, the lip service all hotels seem to pay to be seen to be environmentally friendly but the reality is quite different. I encountered this at virtually every hotel(5* or not), in Costa Rica, in Asia, everywhere. It’s frustrating and disappointing.
But that is my only gripe so it says it all.
Breakfast was lovely, dinner was reasonable but the music was a tad too loud for us so that we couldn’t even hear each other speak. I did find it irritating to have to sign a receipt for your breakfast when it’s included in your stay, even though they know your room number and so it must be clear there is no charge.
We did walk into town twice, both days it was baking hot and it was a tough walk because of that. At night, we used uber to get a taxi to the restaurant nearby as my husband felt the roads were too tricky to navigate in the dark since there is no pavement. At just over £1 per trip, it seemed sensible even though I was happy to walk!
There is a little hostel on the way into town that does laundry so I dropped a bag off there and got it back the next day.
The fantastic coffee machine at reception, available to use all day, along with lovely biscuits, was a godsend if we came back from a trip and needed a little bit of something to keep us going until dinner. Great chococinno!
Staff were lovely and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It set a high bar for the rest of our trip and we would definitely return.

Beautiful, new, bungalow. Very attractive bathroom with large double shower. Refrigerator and coffee maker. Very comfortable king size bed. Chairs and desk in room, more chairs outside. Excellent, hot, private jacuzzi. Large windows with drapes. Rocky entrance to the place and gravel paths which could be a challenge for some. No sign on the road telling you where to turn - from town it's the next dirt road to the right after Don Juan Coffee Tours. Property is nice; still being developed. Staff were great. Attractive restaurant area only serving breakfast at this time. Breakfast was unimpressive for the price of the room - small bowl of fruit, standard Costa Rican breakfast, breakfast sandwich, or omelet. The menu mentions a bread station, but all they have is the usual white or whole wheat toast. Coffee available all day. A nice option to stay at in La Fortuna.

Although the room is advertised to have double sinks, one of the sinks was not in working order and water was not running through the faucet. The room was clearly not checked for basic cleaning and functioning of the equipment before the gusts were checked in. We carried the burden of informing the staff and waiting for the issue to be fixed. There was no supervisor to speak with on property. The only way was to send an email to management which we did and never received a response. The staff was not apologetic and not willing to offer any compensation for the inconvenience.

I stayed at Noah’s for 2 nights and I can say that it was amazing.
Dear David at the reception, went above and beyond to fulfil my requests also he organised me 2 wonderful excursions near by.
My room was large, the quality of the linen and the towels were exceptional and also all the furniture are super lux inside and outside.
Huge bed, wonderful bathroom and outdoors all the rooms have a fantastic jacuzzi for your exclusive use.
Also some rooms have daybeds and hanging huge nests.
The hotel is unique because inside the property runs a river which will totally relax you at your stay at the hotel.
Also the owner has cleverly thought of putting bird feeders almost everywhere and in that way you can enjoy the sound and the looks of birds without paying extra.
Also it has a big swimming pool in the middle of the resort.
Finally the garden is full of wonderful plants.
It gives you a feeling of isolation and purity
The only suggestion I have to make is that breakfast could have been a bit better
All and all I would go back in a heart beat!

We loved everything about Noah’s forest. It was so beautiful. The room was stunning and the beds were so comfortable. The best part of the room was the bathroom. The shower was huge and you could see the geckos running on the windows outside and you could hear all the sounds from the rainforest inside. Our kids loved the Ping pong table and pool table. The restaurant was very good and they went out of their way to accommodated our daughter with celiac and made sure her meal was gluten free. They even went the extra step to replace the oil in the fryer just to be safe. We highly recommend and cannot wait to go back.

The rooms were individual bungalows, some with jacuzzis. The whole property is very beautiful. the breakfast is included, and it was delicious, with lots of fresh fruit. the dinner also beat some of the high-end restaurants we also visited while we were there.
The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were super helpful and friendly. the only thing we would ask for is maybe the availability of packaged lunch or room service in the afternoon on days that we didn't have tours. However, this is one of the few resorts that is actually a quick cab ride from downtown. We had a great time!

Riverside , which was situated near the end of the gravel path so a bit more remote but the property has a nice quiet, setback arrangement so not much of a difference I suspect in location
The room you want is the Deluxe Quad Bungalow with Spa. If you need a third bed, Noah’s will provide that bed (a real bed, not a rollaway) without charge. This resort is amazing and also well-priced - don’t miss it!
It’s not an easy walk into town. But it’s a short taxi ride. The front desk will gladly call one for you. Also, for excursions, the tour companies usually come and pick you up.
Do not know. Never had a fire 🔥.
For massages they set up some seriously professional amazing massages in your own room! They also give a lovely facial with the massage.
