People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.

Hotel is an easy 10 minutes walk from the Bund and also just next, parallel to Nanjing Road, the equivalent of Singapore’s Orchard Road. We always choose hotels with swimming pools as my husband want to swim daily and in his opinion, their swimming pool is one of the best hotel

We spent a couple of days in this hotel. In terms of the facilities themselves I would rate this hotel as being a five star hotel. The lobby area is beautifully presented. The executive suit room was spacious and well appointed. As a regular swimmer I was impressed with the

Any connecting room?
I suggest you ask the hotel directly- I was aline so no need for an inter leading room. My room was very spacious, big king size bed, desk, easy chair and ottoman. Bathroom had large separate stand up shower, separate toilet, double basins. Very well decorated.

There is a hot pot in every room that will boil water in minutes and most hotels in Shanghai will have instant coffee packs. I use the hot pot and take packs of my own instant coffee. Everything you want can be found in China. Instant coffee is in every grocery store. The problem is that unless you can read Chinese you can't even find a grocery store. Furthermore, asking where the instant coffee is can be a real problem. Take some with you. Take some packs of instant oatmeal for a quick breakfast for when you are tired or late or just do not want to eat in the restaurant. The packs are convenient and easy to carry.
