I booked a room at the Comfort Inn in Opelika Al on 5/13/21 for a family member who was stranded for not fault of his own and the young man working the night shift was very professional respectful, accommodating and really concern about the situation that got us in the bind! The management and personnel the next morning provide a comforting atmosphere and helped with the situation that was the issue. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. This place and employees deserve a five star rating in my books. Thank you so much for the help and making are issue less stressful! If your in the area and need a place to stay this is the one!
We booked this property because it is a midway point in the drive on a trip we were taking. This property overall is in good shape and in a quiet location just off of the interstate. The customer service at this property was very good, and the rooms were comfortable. We did have a couple of issues though. The first issue was understandable, as the first room we checked into had a broken chain in the toilet flush mechanism. The toilet was clean so I am sure it occurred with no one knowing about it. We mentioned it to the desk, and they quickly moved us to a new room. It was a completely understandable situation. The room we were moved to seemed to be as comfortable and everything looked like it worked fine. However, after we showered and got ready to go to bed, we turned down one of the beds and it looked like it had been slept in. There was dirt on the sheets and the bottom sheet just had that look like it had been laid on. There was also a pretty decent layer of dust in the room so it may have been awhile since that room had been utilized. At that point in the night, we were not ready to pack up and move again, so we just used the other bed and made the best of it. Otherwise the hotel seemed decent enough. Breakfast was limited because of COVID restrictions, bit the common areas seemed relatively up to date. I would consider staying here again in my travels, but I would have to go over the room thoroughly before I settled in.…
First of all I would like to give a shout out to Martellis Burks for his peaceful and accommodating style. Truly a joy to work with. The motel was clean, beds were comfortable and bathroom up to date. We thought that this a good place for the value. Recommended.
My employees and I frequent this particular hotel every week due to comfort and convenience with it being almost across the street for work. All staff has been friendly from the cleaning crew to the manager Montell to the front desk. Rooms have always been clean, heat/air works fine, beds are comfy, mini fridge is convenient. Nice relaxing smoking area under gazebo out back. Sure the place could use an upgrade as some room as can be a bit noisy but for the price you can’t beat it in this area. And I have no complaints when there is free coffee like ALL day! Lol WARNING!: This hotel is NOT for the “Bad & Boujee” so if that’s you...go somewhere else up the next exit.
The hotel is in need of an update. The bathrooms were rundown. Cracks in the walls, floor and shower with rust. We only had 2 towels for 3 people- they ran out. When asked for more we were given a hand towel. When we first arrived all staff we wearing face masks. Then later none of them were. The halls were noisy at night, people running and screaming, more than the usual hotel noise. We could not wait to check out and leave. We will not be back and I do not recommend this place.
