PROs: big room, comfortable bed, convenient location. CONs: cockroach in the bathroom, weak water pressure, had to park away from hotel (but we did arrive at 10p), breakfast a joke with granola bars and peanut butter crackers as their “breakfast pastries” and cold weak coffee. Other Choice hotels on our trip provided grab&go breakfast bags so this felt like a Covid cop-out.
This is a really nice place to stay. The rooms were very clean and neat. Manny is an excellent asset to your hotel. Housekeeping was very pleasant and helpful. Excellent front desk staff and personnel.
Hotel reviews are different now because of COVID. The Comfort Suites Mobile West is a little hidden and shares the same address as the Quality Inn in front of it, which might confuse your GPS app. The hotel is clean, which is important, but we didn’t have any bags in our rubbish bins. There was hot coffee in the lobby when we went down to get the bags, however. I wasn’t sure they would still have coffee available for self-serve all day.
My room had not been vacuumed, the shower had mold growing and the bathroom floor was wet and stayed wet and slippery the entire stay. There were pieces of paper on the floor, dried white crusty stains of some sort on the piece of fabric across the end of the bed and the towels were very thin, old looking and had stains and a couple of holes in them. The clerk was nice enough to offer a different room but when we went to look at it, it was clear it had not been properly cleaned either as there were chicken bones and fried batter crumbles on the floor.
Stained sheets. They dont empty garbage. They take towels and dont return clean ones. They are just unprofessional all together. I asked if I could get more towels, since they took my other ones out of room. They said there was a shortage of towels amd I would have to wait until they washed and dried some. Then the head house keeper brought me two rough pool towels.
