First trip to Orange beach. Phoenix West 1 is a great place to stay. Brett Robinson Vacation Rentals is one of the reasons we will return. Had a slight problem with the room upon checking. The representative from Brett Robinson called us almost immediately and fixed the issues very quickly. Nice people who value your business. Thanks so much for the much needed getaway.

So we’re 3 hours in to what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. My wife and I went on vacation in Gulf shores. She’s 7-8 months pregnant. I read a review that said there were major problems with the elevators. They booked me on the 9th floor because it has the nicest balcony. I asked her about the bad review on the elevator and she told me it was a resolved issue and that they had remodeled the building.y wife and I waited 20 minutes for an elevator so we could get our stuff to the room. Then, when we got in there, a spider jumped on her hand while she was putting groceries on the counter. I haven’t even complained about that yet. When I went to the front desk, he said, they’re working. People are going up and down. I don’t know what to tell you. I explained to him that everyone has complained about the down buttons not working and my pregnant wife is having to wait around 20 minutes to get to our floor. He said, “well, they’re working. I don’t know why to tell you.” 3 hours in.... awesome. We called the Brett Robinson booking agency, and as nice as the lady was that we spoke to, she couldn’t do anything to help either and offered no options to make up for our terrible experience. 😡 will NEVER stay here again. I’ll go back to Hilton from here on out.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway much needed from 2 months of quarantine. We still wanted to be cautious due to Covid -19 so we planned a social distance weekend. We chose this place because of price (about $215 a night) and central location to walk to restaurants for take out as we aren’t quite ready to eat in restaurants. From pictures and unfortunately limited reviews, it appeared updated and what I would classify as a Best Western class of hotel. It’s more Days Inn. Check in was a great experience. Our room was ready about 2 hours early. The lady at front desk was working hard, mask and gloves she changed between each customer. Also everything was sanitized between each and box of pens you took your own as to not reuse any. They also passed out facemasks to be worn in elevators. However, the disappointment came in cleanliness of the room. Due to Covid-19, I brought my own cleaning supplies to clean before we unpacked. I wiped the counters and all touched surfaces with Clorox Wipes and was astonished at the stains that wiped away. Additionally I mopped the floors with Lysol and the water was disgusting. Housekeeping obviously did a poor job. And they advertise extra cleaning measures and properly trained staff. This advertises itself as a hotel and not Condo and we were told all we had to bring was our beach towels. However our room had clean towels and sheets and beds made but we had no toilet paper or trash bags in our garbage cans. I asked a neighbor and they said they had some so obviously housekeeping overlooked this as well. I had to get some off a cleaning cart. Given the lack in confidence of housekeeping I opted out of daily service to limit our exposure to more germs. So I can’t speak to what their daily service looks like. They don’t enforce no-smoking on balcony. We often smelled smoke and/or marijuana. Wasn’t pleasant coffee or dinner time on our balcony. The elevators are super slow and no one but us wore masks in them as asked by hotel and on our last day checking out we actually got stuck on one. It slammed us down a whole floor and jolted us from 5th floor to 2nd. We pushed the alarm button and knocked on door. Another guest was able to get the door open from his floor. Also I want to note that while we planned on walking to get take out from Pink Pony and Hangout who advertise to-go, they don’t offer to-go if they are on a wait. The condo/hotels are at 100% capacity but restaurants at 50% so supply can’t keep up with current demand. Both places were on 2 hr waits. Shrimp Basket and Gulf Grill did take out orders for us and both are walkable from hotel. We made the best of our weekend but I won’t be staying here again and wouldn’t recommend it unless you don’t care about cleanliness. I’m quite disappointed in Brett Robinson. We’ve rented condos from them before but their housekeeping obviously hasn’t been trained properly. Here’s pros and cons: Pros: Central location in Gulf Shores, walkable to almost everything, nice balcony views, updated and minimal furniture, nice beach space Cons: cleanliness and outdated appliances, noisy at night due to main road people use as a drag strip, elevators

We drove 13 hours and arrived a bit early. The check in was amazingly quick and painless! They gave us all and any information that we needed on restaurants and things to do with the kids. This COVID-19 virus had just begun and we were there for a baseball tournament that was cancelled but decided to travel anyway for our vacation! The house was on gulf shores side and though we had to cross the highway it was a perfect view of the beach no other properties in fron and it was VERY CLEAN! This was pur first time renting a condo and will DEFINITELY BE BACK! Thank you so very much for everything!

Early check-in was quick and easy, front desk located on 1st floor, Virginia was courteous and knowledgeable. Hotel was located next to the "Hangout" which was the site of the marathon finish line festivities. Room 806 was very clean and had a great oceanfront view.
