My family of four (two adults, two teens) truly feel like we found paradise this year. We stayed in Unit 710, which is on the top floor of Holiday Isle. We hadn't traveled since the onset of Covid 19, so we were well overdue for a getaway. We brought lots of spray disinfectant and cleaning supplies, but we needn't have worried -- this unit was immaculately clean! Our balcony overlooks the outdoor pool and offered spectacular views of the ocean and the sugar white beach. The floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors also provide this stunning backdrop from both the living room and the master suite. The patio is furnished with two loungers and a table with four chairs -- great for morning coffee as well as afternoon and evening reading or wine and cheese! The condo is beautifully decorated; we appreciated the beautiful modern artwork, the comfortable furniture, and the high ceilings. Our entire family is over 6' tall, so we notice ceilings and shower heads -- all comfortably accommodated our height. My husband and I enjoyed the king size 4-poster bed in the master bedroom, and the attached bath. In addition to a roomy shower and private WC, there are twin sinks and a very generous jetted tub. We found the jets too aggressive for our taste (and extraordinarily loud in the living room when being run), but it definitely was relaxing for a soak when they were turned off. The second bedroom offers a very comfortable, modern king bed, and opens to the second full bath (which also had a door opening to the main living area of the condo). Each bedroom has its own large TV, and there's also a large entertainment center in the living room. The kitchen is very well supplied with top appliances, kitchen tools, spices, and basic cooking supplies. Obviously you'll need to bring your own food, but you have access to everything you need for cooking. The laundry room also has good appliances and is quiet when you close the door. You'll also find basic paper and cleaning supplies in your unit: a roll of paper towels, a couple tools of TP for each bathroom, a few dishwasher tabs, a few laundry detergent tabs, and a small bottle of dishwashing liquid. Travel sized soap, shampoo, and conditioner are also supplied. During Covid, the indoor pool, workout facility, steam room, and sauna are available only by reservation online (one hour blocks from 6am to 10pm). We tried to reserve the pool the first day we were there, but it was completely booked for the week, so keep that in mind if you're visiting soon. If you're considering a visit to Dauphin Island, you probably know that it's much quieter than neighboring Gulf Shores, which is exactly what we wanted during this pandemic. Quiet walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean, and takeout suits or family very well, but if this isn't your idea of fun, you should look elsewhere. If I had to nitpick anything, I'd just point out that the front door badly needs weather stripping -- anytime the wind blows, it sounds like gale force winds are coming through the island! We had a couple nights of loud whistling through the front door. We had a beautiful, restful week in this gorgeous beach front condo. It was exactly what we needed, and we're very grateful to the owners for sharing their lovely home with us! We unreservedly and wholeheartedly recommend this unit.…
Our recent stay at the Holiday Isle was miserable. During the Covid crisis, we found that our room was not cleaned properly - pull-up diaper left in master bath, sour gummies left underneath day beds. The maintenance for our room was also extremely lacking. The jetted tub did not work and the toe board for the shower was loose to the point that the door would not shut. Made for some wet carpet. Light bulbs were out. Most disgusting though, was the mold damage in the master bath toilet area. Black mold was all over the ceiling and paint had started to separate in layers. A decorative picture in the master bedroom was also water damaged. Our air conditioning also broke during our last night of stay. Terrible. Don’t get me started in the broken elevator.
What a find!!! Closer to Memphis, less expensive, and plenty of options to eat. The only downfall is it is a long way to beach ( compared to other condos) - Beaches were not crowded - we will definitely be back ( sorry Fort Morgan,((Beach Club)) you have been replaced. Easy drive into Mobile ( for game).
Great places, mostly 3 bedrooms. We were on upper floor, near elevator. Wonderful view from balcony to Gulf. Tons of white sandy beaches & Gulf view. Party room & exercise room downstairs on first floor. Parking inside and handy carts to move your luggage to the room. Located on Bienville Blvd. On island, facing the lovely gulf. Great place to relax & get away from it all. Condo has full kitchen, tv den, dining, master BR & two others. Master has own bathroom & shower. One more bathroom for other 2 bedrooms. We went to get away from New Orleans Mardi Gras, something we have seen & enjoyed many, many times.
