This old converted building has charm, but it comes at the expense of modern convenience. Our room was at the top of the building so it was hot and the outdoor shower meant exposure to bugs. The location is good for walking the circuit of the old town and for easily visiting th

Nothing was quite right about this hotel - from the strange and unfriendly reception we received on arrival to the rooms which were less than clean and mosquito infested. We stayed at the top of the main house - I am not sure we could have got out in the case of a fire. In any

Very nice hotel in an old colonial house.
Some rooms are perfect if you can choose one with view on the city of Recife... furnished other rooms can be disapointing for the price which can be really too much depending the season....

Some friends brought me here for breakfast on a recent working holiday in Olinda. I was blown away by the rustic charm of the dining room and even more blown away by the amazing view out of old Olinda and in the distance Recife.

"I think the main building would have been better so make sure your room is there."
"All the rooms are individually decorated. For ease of access, probably best to stay in the main house."
"We saw only three rooms. The ones across the street are larger, but I like the feel of the main building better."
"Standard rooms are only slightly smaller than superior rooms and quite a bit cheaper. Try to get a room at the back of the building as the street can be noisy"
"The two rooms at the top of the building across the street have balconies with an outdoor bath tub. Nice views across the roof tops back towards Recife and great character to the rooms. The rooms are called "Ciranda" and "Ilusoes". Apparently you can can ask for them in advance."
