We were met at the train station by a staff member who walked us up the hill to the hotel. The landscaping was beautiful and we were surprised with an upgrade to a suite! It was absolutely stunning with a private spa outside in the back. Everything was very clean with wonderful amenities. The meals we had were excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel if you are headed to Machu Picchu.

El MaPi was delightful. Clean, comfy rooms, centrally located, friendly staff who also spoke English (a nice plus). We enjoyed our stay and the surrounding town. The transportation was a short, interesting walk.

Great pisco sours, pretty lobby and helpful staff. Hotel appears new, rooms are modern and sleek but lack normal conveniences (like nowhere in showers to place soap/shampoo, etc. except on the floor). Expect to climb steps. Beds were comfortable. Suggest getting a map to make it easy to find as there are two El MaPi Hotels here. The hotel offered convenient luggage storage while we went to Machu Picchu trip.

This hotel is located approximately a 5 minute walk from the station up hill. Very new and still under construction. Modern hotel, rooms are located in blocks, lifts are available to rooms however not in use as they are still building additional floors. Ensure that you are out of your room by 8am as this is when the building works starts and it is very noisey. Service from the staff is very laid back and inefficient to the point of lazy, particularly in the restaurant and in reception. They could do with some professional training as found that nobody tells you anything and you have to find out for yourself. Service may improve when the hotel is finished being built? Room was clean and bright when we had found it (having climbed up all the stairs to find we were in the wrong block - no guidance from reception). Good sleep, nice comfy bed and great hot shower. Good breakfast choice - buffet style. A decent stay, new clean and bright rooms however the staff need to be more helpful. Travellers have had a long day getting here and the service needs to be more efficient, consider customer needs, offer help and assistance.

Centrally located a short walk from the train station and the bus stop for the ride to Machu Picchu. A rather strange layout with separate blocks rising up the hillside and what seems like a thoroughfare running through the middle of it. You should note that a lot of the rooms are not accessible by elevator. Our room was clean and relatively spacious with good natural light so no complaints. Buffet breakfast was OK - nothing special.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us. Smart and contemporary are the defining elements of the El MaPi byInkaterra. Set in the busy heart of Machu Picchu Pueblo, guests are ideally located to admire, experience and enjoy this quaint village. One of the characteristics of Machu Picchu town is the uneven grounds with several stairs; based on comments received by our guests we are looking for the option to add elevators for the rooms and hope to have them implemented in a nearby future. Thank you again for sharing your comments with us and we hope to have the chance to be at your service in a future occasion. Kind regards
