Is a cozy guest house, surrounded with a garden, really close to the walking street where all the food and shops are, but it has the chill vibe that I was looking for. The service is really welcoming too!
The place is cute and made with love, and the staff is really nice. Sitting at the evening in front of the bungalow with a beer is fantastic. BUT when we entered the room it was smelling and feeling really moldy. We had to open all windows to ventilate every time we got there, because we could not leave the windows open as they don't have mosquito net. After three days there all our clothes where smelly. The door (in room 5) doesn't fits the frame, so the bugs can enter freely. We had our bagpacks infested by ants every day. The mattress was as hard as the floor.
Nice place with quiet bungalows only 5 mins walk from walking street area. The girl working there doesn't seem to speak much English but the guy does and she called him and he came around a bit later to check if all was ok. The setting is nice with a little garden and theres a table and 2 chairs to sit outside. In my bungalow there was space to sleep 3 people. There's a small fridge with 2 free bottles of water. The hot shower was fine. The aircon and fan were both good but you shouldn't need to use the aircon in Pai. The wifi worked well. There's free coffee at reception between 8 and 10am.
This place is quite hard to find and no one seems to know where it is. It's less that a 5 minute walk from walking street where all the shops, bars and street markets are. Sheet were dirty, walls had dead bugs squished on them, bathroom has mouldy all over the walls. If it got given a deep clean and a lick of paint could be a nice place. Definitely would not stay here again!
The Paiburee Guesthouse is a nice spot to stay in the central, yet quiet part of Pai. Moderately priced, cozy and only a 3 minute walk to the local Night Market. It has a friendly owner and operator, with complimentary coffee in the mornings!
