We only stayed here for a night on a road trip and were very pleasantly surprised. This small resort is at the end of a quiet Soi but only a short work from a lively collection of bars and restaurants. The owner and staff could not have been more welcoming. Our children enjoyed playing with their pet dogs. The room was spacious and comfortable and the pool was spotlessly clean. A great breakfast to see us on our way.
We had a generally good experience at the somewhat unfortunately (but memorably) name P U Inn Resort. The place is nothing fancy, but is clean and light and the pool is great, as is the wifi. I understand why others have had a hard time with the owner - she is quite forward and not shy to voice complaints, but she was nothing but nice and helpful/friendly to us. The location is pretty much perfect - right off a restaurant/bar street, but far enough down a side alley that the place stays quiet. Definitely rent bikes (I think the hotel rents them but there are lots of rental places within a 1 block walk) to get to all the temples.
It was a terrible experience. I had to go to the police because the owner tried to make me pay 1000 bath for fuse damage that had nothing to do with me. I preferred to go to the police instead. Instead I paid 500 bath not to go to court... Obviously a plugged mobile phone was not the cause... The police told me it is not the first time this person did this to customers... They all said she was a terrible person and apologized for the situation. They felt bad for us.. Obviously I disagree with this woman's claim. Just a terrible person stealing people for the bad quality of the construction. Stay away, you might have to pay for the roof... Oh and at least the same person tried to make me pay more from the website I booked from... The gift that keeps on giving...
This property describes itself as a resort, I would say this is a very loose interpretation of the word "resort". The rooms are basic and the air conditioning is very poor. Parking is limited. On the plus side, the property was kept clean. Would not recommend.
The hotel is nice and the staff are friendly. The lady who owns it is very chatty and helpful. She will help you to book all your trips, bike rental, onward travel etc... The hotel is located near to some good bars and restaurants and some of the Wats are also really close by. I'd definitely stop here again. The pool, restaurant and grounds are nice and kept clean. The rooms are clean and bedding etc is changed daily. The bathroom is a wet room so expect it to be wet when you have a shower! The shower itself is pretty good with good water pressure. Overall a pleasant experience.
