Our friends rested in this hotel and we decided to trust them and also flew.
According to our information, the hotel has been renovated and reopened at the end of March 2021. And this is how it is felt, you can see the new renovation and its smell.
A very beautiful lobby of the hotel, everything is marble and white, a paradise for those who like to take photos on Instagram. And such a hotel smell, we really liked it.
In the lobby of the hotel there is a reception and a lobby bar where you can sit and sip coffee. Then there is the terrace, you go out and immediately view the beautiful red sea and a little tyrant island. In the evenings, when it is not hot, you can sit and drink coffee or other types of drinks. In general, in every bar you can have a delicious drink of any kind of drinks.
Many pools, though the maximum depth is about 160 m, could of course have done more. Minus there is no canopy over the pools, everything is under the sun, but we used hats.
This is how we understood the hotel with the letter P and mostly the rooms overlook the pool, but we had a view of the garden, or rather the neighboring hotel, but we knew this and were not upset because in Egypt it gets dark very early and mostly spent time on the beach and the pool and came to the room deep in the evening. By the way, the room is gorgeous, perfect half, new furniture, a large TV and a super soft bed from which it is hard to wake up.
Meals, it seemed to us there is 24 hours in the hotel. There is one restaurant for breakfast, a restaurant and a food court for lunch, 2-3 restaurants for dinner, everything is very tasty without any special seasonings. There are always snacks and ice cream as well.
The staff is friendly, we found very interesting people here.
Recommend.
I stayed at the Laguna Vista for a week. Nothing to complain about. Upon arriving at the entrance, we were amazed by the majesty of the hall with marbles and glittering chandeliers, nothing was left to chance, everything was designed in detail. All the staff are very kind and they are available for every guest's need !
Above all I want to thank the manager, Mr Magdy who is very kind and made us feel like home. He knows to do his job really well.
Everyone scrupulously wears masks and anti-covid principals can be found everywhere.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, excellently furnished. They are equipped with kettle, tea, coffee, bottled drinking water.
The entertainment staff is super, they involve guests but without being too intrusive.
The food is excellent and there are several restaurants where you can taste different dishes: oriental, Italian and in particular the Culina where we ate very fresh fish.
And then well-kept gardens, the pools are very clean and last but not least .... the sea, the Red Sea !!! The shoreline of Laguna Vista is very low, therefore perfect for those people who have baby children! For a nice swim there is a walkway that leads to where the water is deeper !
Highly recommended
We found most guests were Russian as we only heard a couple of other guests speaking English.
Our room was huge with a comfy bed, kettle, blackout curtains and a brilliant large shower all spotlessly clean. I think maybe the rooms nearer the restaurants are quieter as the pool nearest the beach has music and activities.
The food was of very good quality, variety, fresh and hot. How some people complain is beyond me there are many options to please the fussiest of eaters. Now the drinks…. the beer and wine are fine but the gin is foul. I’ve never tasted meths but can only imagine it tastes like this gin! We didn’t try any other sprits. There is also no option to buy branded spirits at the bars.
WiFi is hit and miss it goes off frequently and you have to keep logging on and only 3 devices per room.
There are many shops and supermarkets in both directions and a duty free shop almost opposite the hotel that sells alcohol and perfume etc if you want alcohol you have to go within 48hours of landing.
The staff are all great. Polite, efficient and hard working. There is always someone sweeping up dropped food and spillages. No one stands around they are always busy.
There are two cash machines in reception that do currency exchange so no need to go to a bank. Soho Square is a 10 minute taxi ride away and worth a visit for a change os scenery.
We had a lovely relaxing pre Christmas break just a couple of things I think could be introduced are gowns and slippers in the room and better gin!
We got a room with a stunning sea view (we didn't pay extra for it). Air conditioner, TV, hair dryer and sanitary ware - everything is in working order. The room was cleaned every day. The safe and Wi-Fi in the room were provided free of charge, although they were declared as paid services on the tour operator's website. The Internet is not fast, but it was enough for us to contact our relatives.
Now about food. A large selection. But, the cook cooks VERY TASTY! They never left hungry. Although the staff put plates on the plates, it did not spoil the impression of the kitchen. Everyone is extremely polite, they joke and smile, they serve drinks at the first request. On our birthday, we were nicely served, congratulated, and brought fruit to our room. It was very nice.
The beach is on the territory. A magnificent view of Teran Island from the sea. There is a bar on the beach with drinks and light snacks.
There is a tour desk on the way to the beach. We took them on a tour. She works with a certified tour agency, so what
Summing up, I want to thank the staff and animators of the Albatros Laguna Vista Resort for a great vacation! We will definitely come again.
Our room was on the first floor and on the end, which meant we had a large wrap-around balcony with a table and chairs and a small clothes rail to dry your wet swimming costume.
The room was massive well laid out and very clean, you couldn't ask for a better shower. It was nice to see some universal plug sockets so no need to use adaptors, also some USB sockets too.
The cleaners do a great job every day, and we would like to say a big thank you to them.
It's a very large complex and the best-kept grounds at a resort we have stayed at.
Another big thank you to the groundsmen as they work tirelessly to keep it to a very high standard.
The swimming pools are great and plenty of shallow areas for the little ones and plenty of fixed parasols and beds for everyone, we never had a problem with getting a sun lounger in the morning or the afternoon. It's nice to have lifeguards at the pools too.
We did like the signs on the parasols to request no reservation of sunbeds.
The food was first class and always very tasty, not the best resort for selection, but I would rather have quality over quantity of food selection.
Sometimes it was hard to find things like the butter and tomato sauce etc , they wouldn't be where you would expect them to be or not there at all.
We used the spa and had a great time there. The hotel was quiet for our very 2 week stay which was nice.
It was very hard to find fault with the hotel and it's grounds , we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone .
All the staff are friendly and very hard working and management should be proud of their staff. Speaking a little bit of Arabic even if it is just please & thank you goes a long way with the staff.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
All the staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. We were particularly impressed with Amr Salama in the terrace bar, he went over and above what we expected and was always smiling.
The tour company on the private beach was also very professional. Georeg arranged a couple of tours for us and we felt they were good value for money.
We will definitely be returning next year, with our family, as soon as bookings are open for our preferred dayes
There were 5 restaurants and the food options were very good (Egyptian, Moroccan, Indian, Italian Pastas / Pizzas etc). There were pools everywhere including 2-3 heated pools in December (suitable for both adults and kids).
The sandy beach is few minutes walk away depending on your room’s location and sea is clean, clear and shallow. The aqua park pools with water slides were also heated. The pools, toilets, restaurants, all public places (including the beach) are all very clean and well maintained. In December (12-24th) the hotel was not fully booked, and we were able to enjoy all the facilities without too much overcrowding. However, the hotel was getting busier as we got closer to Christmas Day as there was going to be a special dinner /events on 24th Dec.
This is a big resort, spread over a large area. Our room was closer to the beach and away from the main reception. We took the hotel’s shuttle bus regularly (or a 7-10 min walk), which goes from the beach to the main reception/entrance every 10/15 mins. If a buggy was available, we were able to get a lift from a buggy too.
A special mention to the hotel’s management and reception team (Magdi, Mohammed, Mariia, Walid, Tarik), who were incredibly helpful, courteous and accommodating. Berkat who cleaned our room surprised us to nice room decorations randomly. Mohamed Ezz who transported us on a buggy many times. All the staff were fantastic and always helpful.
We also had a wonderful spa experience. Haitham the manager and all staff were amazing and helpful. Khaled and Eman gave us excellent body massages and tailored the treatments to our needs across six sessions. GiGi and Mona provided a lovely facial, and Rawan/Yousef/Ibrahim/Sayed did fantastic pedicure/haircuts. All of them did a superb job.
We also really enjoyed the desert safari + dinner half-day trip, which we highly recommend. Old market (local shopping street/area) is about 20mins drive and Soho, which is beautiful in December with lights and decorations, is about 10mins drive.
We would recommend this hotel to others and will come back here again on our next visit.
