We went at the Mountain Nest Hotel on a rainy weekend at the end of march. Erica and Demi were extraordinary hosts. They helped us getting around in Yangshuo and gave us some good recommendations. On a rainy evening, they invited us to a dumpling making class that we then ate at

We stayed at the Mountain Nest for a long weekend in April 2018. Two couples around 30. It was a fantastic experience and a pleasant surprise. As we live in China, this was our second trip to Yangshuo and we decided to try the Mountain Nest on this trip with friends. Erica and

Absolutely top - our high expectations were pleasantly surprised. The house is very historic, but the rooms are well equipped and very clean (it even had a bathtub - in the living room!). In winter, hardly any houses in the region are heated. Everything is done here to keep you

My daughter and I had three nights at this fantastic boutique hotel in the Yangshuo scienic area. The picture attached is a view from our balcony. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly making the stay in Yangshuo one of the highlights of our three week trip to China.

The family rooms are quite spacious. There is a king bed in one room and 2 singles in the other. Just one bathroom though. The regular rooms are a bit smaller, so I'm not sure that you could do 3 in one of those. The beds (as in most of China) are singles (full), not queens, so you'd have to have a roll away bed and I don't think they have those. (The building is quite narrow with only 3 rooms per floor. They use a dumb waiter to get the luggage up. I don't think they could get a roll away bed up the stairs.) That said, if there is any way that you can work out the logistics and stay there, do it! It's a great hotel, with fabulous friendly staff, and a good restaurant in it, too! (Lots of choices and excellent quality.) I have traveled a lot in Asia, particularly China, and this is one of my favorite places -- I hope to bring my kids there, too, when I go back.

Which is the closest railway station?
We had a driver bring us to Guilin airport and flew to Tunxi and Yellow Mountains. From Tunxi we took a high speed train to Shanghai.
