Few steps from this hotel and one finds oneself right in the beach. On a hot night, one might sleep at the beach as this hotel has multiple failures: dirty, smelly, mouldy, a/c non operational, poor choices on TV. Outdoor sleeping or staying at other hotel recommended.
We stayed at the Joaquina Beach Hotel for 3 nights. It was a really nice hotel with an ample breakfast and courteous employees. There is a parking lot across the street from the hotel. On Saturday night some youth gathered there to have a party and were blaring their music. After one hour, I finally called reception who said they would call the police. I was kind of wondering why they hadn't called earlier. I was also wondering why they didn't have any security like most hotels do that would help in these types of incidents. The police finally came after an other hour and the party seemed to break up. By this time it was 3:45 in the morning and we had to get up at 6:00 AM for our flight home. After about 20 minutes of quiet, another car came and began to blare their music. I couldn't take it any more and I opened my sliding door and screamed for them to shut up and that people were trying to sleep. Another guest on a different floor then yelled at them to find some other place. They left finally. My advice, if the hotel has no control over this parking lot and the people that come to party there, I would not recommend the hotel even though it was a really adequate one.…
